A beautiful ebony hazel eyes girl, in a army green cardigan, brown cargo pants walked into a cozy designed officeShe held no facial expression as her sore bagged eyes checked out the room until it met with the person occupying the office seat.
"You must be Erika?" The pretty lady in her fifties asked nicely as she pointed out a cozy couch for her to sit in.
"Hi!" Erika whispered softly as she pounced on the couch.
"Make yourself at home. Feel comfy. If you need anything, let me know."
Erika smiles faintly before laying on the couch munching a bubble gum, looking at the air conditioner as it clipped open and close.
"I'm a therapist sent by the FBI's trauma relief programme."
Erika stared at her speechlessly as she blew a bubble. Her face still ss plegmatic and flat as before.
"I hear you have gone through a lot" the lady poured a cup of beverage "would you like beverage?"
"What did they tell you?" Erika asked curiously as she sat up cross legged.
"From your papers you are 17 years old, attending Daysman highschool. Currently in your last year. Victim of three traumatizing events... "
" Four... Four traumatizing events. " Erika corrected.
" You lost two close people in a short period of three months."
"Jarvis is making you do this isn't he?" Erika yawned.
" It the FBI..."
." I don't need therapy."
"You don't " the therapist smiled "but I will love to know what happened. A problem solved is a problem halved.
"I have nothing to share... I have no problem at all. I don't need therapy. I need no one to pity me and say it's gonna be fine, you have gone through a lot... Even if you are professional."
"Okay, I will give you time."
"It's a long story though." Erika dipped her hands in her cardigans pockets as she stared to the ceiling.
"Whenever you are ready, you can start anywhere... We have all the time we need." She sipped from her mug as she played with her chair.
"I love your cardigan. Who bought it for you?"
"There's a mall close to my house. I bought it before I went for Everlast summer camp."
"My kid love watching ESC, it's just that her dad doesn't want her attending the summer camp."
" You have kids? You look so young and... How old are they?"
"The youngest is twelve, the oldest is nineteen. My second child, lala, is seventeen. She likes keeping me updated about stuffs that are in trend."
"So is she like a YouTuber or something?"
"She does Diy Hacks on YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook."
"Wow!" Erika popped the bubble she just made with the gum.
"My boys are not into popularity stuffs like their dad, but they assist in her videos sometimes."
"I always wished for an elder brother, but luckily I have good friends." She smiled faintly before coming down from the couch to get a beverage.
She sat at the chair opposite the therapist feeling a lot more comfortable.
"I always told my mom everything, it helped me feel better. I guess that's why this whole shit weighs me down a lot." She sipped the beverage before staring at the name tag.
"I really expected more from life than what it dished me during summer."
