Melanie left a message later that day saying she won't be able to make it. Melodie was admitted to the school bay few minutes after recess and she had to call their driver to pick them up.
That's bad! So bad! Very bad!
What's worse? Pedro saw the message first. He was using my tab. I totally forgot that the only way anyone who didn't have my number could reach me was through social media and my officially known account was currently logged in on the tab
"Wtf! Erika what on earth is going on?" He asked as he joined Harper and I in the kitchen. My first day at the dorm since mum died. Harper and I were doing a video of us making banana and avocado smoothie.
"How on earth did we not know this at all. We were at school..." He was confused, panicking like he just lost his phone at school.
"You probably left it upstairs. You were with Mia and Seth a while ago." Harper shrugged as he tasted the smoothie.
We looked up again after I had tasted mine to meet his teary eyes. He rumpled his hair as he sat down on a chair trying as much as he can to hold his scream.
"It's Melodie." He managed to mutter.
"Shit! We are live." Harper whispered to him as he walked to the camera. "We already had 200 people watching." He sighed after ending it. The comment section was already filled with question concerning Melodie.
We visited the mansion after Pedro spoke with her mom.
Her dad was a rich business man while her mom was a social media blogger, voice actress and brand model. It was already known to the world that Melodie passed out in school.
The herd of paparazzi and... The commotion outside the mansion was hectic
The news of Pedro's reaction spread like wide fire. People were already coming up with stories and lies about the incident.
We came down from the car. We were all in head wears. We expected the cameras and paparazzi and other people interested in taking pictures.
Mia clinged to Pedro's arm, Seth and I were walking right in front of him and Harper was behind. He drove the car. Pedro wasn't able to drive.
We made our way to the sitting room. The servants served quick refreshment.Melanie walked out in dark crop top and ash shorts.
"She's alive and well, happy?" She asked in frustration. "These snacks are not gonna eat themselves." She went back.
"You can't just stare at us from upstairs. We demand to see..." Pedro's upsetting tone was interrupted by drake's baritone.
"Who is it?"
"Just lodie's ex and friends. They heard she passed out. When is mom gonna be done with the press?" I guessed they were sitting in the parlour upstairs.
"The news just got to them?" Melodie's voice was heard above a whisper.
"Well, I sent a text to everyone on your friendship emergency list. Like when you woke up and we were back home."
"I told her to." Drake scoffed. "But she accidentally sent it to your Havillah and label manager."
"And now the outcome is..."
" We have guests, let's go welcome them." Melodie's voice was faint but still loud.
She was in ash top and dark crop top. She parked her short hair up to a ponytail. That was when we saw it she had two piercings on each ear and on her navel, just like Melanie.
She was wearing zero makeup, her eyes were sore but her smile was confident.
"How did you get pass the press?" She asked curiously as she was led down the stairs by Drake.
