GIA and Marco shared a small moment of confusion, as well as Ludo and Toni.

Gia studied Marco. He indeed did look worse than Niccolo, just confirming her guesses as to who won the fought.

"What are you doing here?" Marco questioned. "This is the party you were talking about?" Gia dodged his inquiry by continuing with her own.

"Yes, it is. Why are you out this late? Your parents would kill you before you even asked them to go out at this time." Marco replied, his brows knitting together.

"Well, obviously. That's why I snuck out. But we were just leaving." Gia explained, referring to her and Ludo, who was standing beside her and mugging Marco.

"We?" Marco scoffed, as he repeated Gia's words and shifted glances between Ludo and Gia. "You and the pudding bowl?" Marco snickered, unable to help a chuckle.

Ludo inhaled sharply, clenching her jaw. Her scowl only became much harder.

"Don't call her that. And yes, me and my friend, Ludovica." Gia corrected her boyfriend, pulling her arm from Ludo and crossing her arms.

Ludo's face softened completely at Gia's words. Her green eyes flickering to Gia. It came to Ludovica as a shock, for no one ever dared to consider the 'pudding bowl' as a friend or stand up for her like that.

"Why are you hanging out with her?" Marco grumbled in disfavor as he mugged Ludovica too, matching her attitude.

"Like I just said, she's my friend, Marco. Take the hint." Gia scoffed, narrowing her eyes at Marco.

"You're okay with her bringing you down? Stooping you down to her level? Gia, what the hell are you doing? You're telling me you're going to be just fine walking into school tomorrow knowing what everyone is going to say about you?!" Marco jeered, his tone raising with each word.

People began to stare, their gazes fixing over to Marco. "Yes, I'm fine with it! She's not going to bring me down, Marco. You don't know her!" Gia argued back.

Marco tightly shut his eyes and seethed as he held back from taking everything out on her. "Just go." He clenched his jaw harshly and stepped aside to let the two girls out the door.

Ludo rolled her eyes at Marco as she walked out onto the porch with Gia.

"I'm so sorry he's like that, Ludo." Gia exhaled heavily as they walked down the porch and pathway, out onto the sidewalk again.

The two girls stopped in their tracks and turned to each other. Ludo flashed a small smile and nodded.

"I mean, with the way you stood up for me, you don't have to be sorry." The black haired girl assured, a small laugh escaping her to slightly enlighten the low mood.

Gia shared a laugh too. "Well, it's true. What I said, you know. Regardless of what any asshole says, I'm your friend shamelessly." She told the girl.

"Thank you, Gia," Ludo's smile grew. "Anyway, I think I'm going to head home. This shitty party isn't my worth my time. They don't see it yet, but I'm a blessing. The life of the party, really." Ludo spoke sarcastically.
