A beast on the run

Today was like any other, woke up, ate, got tested on, trained etc. but it wasn't like any other for today was going to be when I escaped this cage. I had it all planned out, normally after injecting me with some substances and filling out boards the doctors leave me unattended for about 5 minutes. This being because the drugs normally knock me out but I've been building some immunity to that. Still that leaves me with only 5 minutes to get out. I've memorized where all the exits are and when the guards switch over so long as I time it right I should be okay.

Doctors enter the room injecting several different colored substances into my arm, jotting notes down and then leave, I give it a few seconds before jumping up and exiting the room quickly going over to a vent where I had hid a bag of essentials. Looking at the time I smirk as the guards should be switching soon. Running to the nearest exit I check for cameras seeing none which is odd before running out the door and making my way to the forest.

Timeskip

Now this was the hard part as I had never been out alone so I did not know which way the highway was but decided to first get as far from the facility first. Running through the trees at top speed everything blurring together as my sense heighten I can hear rushing water indicating a river near by and decide to head towards it. Finally getting to the river I look around finding a place to set my bag as I edge closer to water squatting down and splashing my face before looking up at the sky seeing it had already gotten dark. I should find some shelter. Looking around I see a decent sized tree that would cover my body with its leaves. Perfect. I smirk grabbing my bag and climbing the tree with ease setting on a branch towards the middle looking up at the stars and sighing in relief. "I'm finally free mom...and I'm going to do some actual good with my abilities, I promise" my hand goes to the necklace around my neck a pendant of a star hanging from on the back my precious star was carved in fancy lettering. Watching the sky my eyes soon began to droop before I was fully asleep, the drugs side effect finally kicking in.

Tomorrow I would go into the city and ask around for ultraman...I will find him no matter what. But before that I'll find some food....
