The Bnb
02:13Miles poured some pain pills in his palm before consuming them dry. He often did this when things got tough or stressful. It slowly became his norm. Miles stared at himself in the bathroom mirror trying to understand his life's troubles feeling stressed out.
Then there were three knocks at the door.
"Miles? You in there?" Y/n voice came through door. Miles exhaled before going to open it. Once he did he walked back to the sink and Y/n followed him. "Lock the door." He told her but she just closed it behind her. "What happened back there?" She asked. Miles turned his back to her and returned to staring himself in the mirror."Spoke my mind. Eso es lo que hice." He hardened his eyes at his reflection. His left eye was becoming his biggest insecurity and he was struggling to even see at this point. "I had no idea you felt that way...I'm sorry you had to go through it alone." Y/n rubbed her forearm.
(That's what I did)
"I go through everything alone. It's not like you can feel what I'm feeling." Miles hung his head low and closed his eyes. Y/n looked to the floor nodding her head slowly in understanding of what he was saying. She tried putting herself in his shoes and knew that none of this was easy.
Y/n pushed herself off the bathroom wall to approach Miles from be hind. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his back is if he was a comfy bed. "I love you. No puedo sentir lo que tú sientes, pero I am here for you." She spoke softly. Miles placed his hand over her which was on his stomach.
(I can't feel what you feel but)
Miles opened his eyes then exhaled before turning around to look in her eyes. "I will always be here for you." Y/n said to him and took his hands in her own so she could squeeze them tightly. Miles watched as a tear slipped from eye. He reached up to hold her face then wipe it.
Miles thought of what his life would be at this point in time if he hadn't meant this girl. This girl lit up his world yet flipped it upside down in more ways than one. He also hurt her badly and knew if anyone hurt him the same he would never make peace of it but she was different. She was willing to fight for him and fight with him.
That, you can't find in everyone.
He went down to kiss her. It was long. It was soft. It was what they needed in that moment. Miles pressed his forehead against hers as they both closed their eyes. "I love you." He whispered.

After a long conversation, Miles, Y/n, Aaron, and Tashi were on the next plane to Brooklyn that Thursday afternoon.
Once they got back to the apartment it Aaron and Tashi decided they would stay there with Río for a while until they knew things were safe for her. One day while Y/n spent the day over, Miles decided he had to make a stop somewhere.
"You're not gonna tell me where you're going?" Y/n furrowed her brows as she slid off his bed. "Call it a side quest, si quieres." Miles grabbed his keys and put them in his pocket. "But I can't know where?" Y/n grabbed his hand to stop him from doing anything else.
(If you will)
"Imma be good. I'll be back before you know it. I promise. "Solo estoy charlando un poco, y'know? Get a clear understanding of things." Miles said to her before raising her hand up to his mouth to kiss it then kissed her lips.
(I'm just having a little chat)
Y/n just stood there with a hardened expression on her face as she watched him leave the room.

Ms. Farris was sitting on her couch watching Good Times, laughing every five minutes at the show. She took small sips of her drink before laughing again but that all got interrupted when one of her men came by to tell her, "You've got a guest."
She tilted her head in confusion. "A guest?" She sat her glass cup on the table. "Yeah, it's that hardheaded ass boy with the braids." The man replied. Ms. Farris thought momentarily before nodding her head indicating he should let the boy in. Ms. Farris reached for her gun in her robe and made sure her hand was covered so it didn't bring attention.
"Well that took a while." Miles entered the living room giving the man in black a scowl before looking to Ms. Farris. "I don't know if I can trust you." Ms. Farris answered. "Same here, grandma." Miles took a seat in the sofa adjacent from her. "Don't call me that. Makin' me feel old when I'm far from it." Ms. Farris said and Miles chuckled lightly as he reached for the bottle and a glass to pour himself up.
"Just 'cause I got a limp and walk with a cane don't mean shit." Ms. Farris laughed. "How'd you get that, by the way?" Miles took a sip of the drink and made a face as he downed it. "I had been shot back in the day. Got caught up in the crossfire. Taught me a lot of things." She answered.
"Things like what?"
"Don't matter who you came in this game with, it's always gon' be every man for themselves." Ms. Farris looked in the young man's eyes with all seriousness.
"Ain't that the fuckin' truth." Miles chuckled dryly. "Why you here, boy?" Ms. Farris cut to the chase. "I reckon you know me and Y/n's trip didn't go exactly as planned." He set his cup down."What trip?"
"Don't play dumb. You too grown for that. I know she told you, but more importantly I know you told your boyfriend. The bossman himself." Miles crossed his arms and tilted his head. Ms. Farris laughed before saying. "You must think you know every damn thing, and often times I wish I known just as much as you did, but I don't. So you gon' have to elaborate." She cocked her brow.
"Pin got some hit man on our asses who won't leave us the fuck alone. Only reason he found us in PR is because you told him we were going there." Miles pointed at her. "See that's where you went wrong. I never told him none of that. All I said was, y'all were going on a trip—" "You said too much. Nobody needed to know we was goin' no where. He prolly pulled some strings, found out we were goin' there cuz you said too damn much." Miles clenched his jaw.
"If I put y'all in harms way—" "You did. I don't care if you feel remorse for it, or not. We could've died. That's all I want you to know." Miles informed her then took his leave.
He got into his car and sat there in thought as he began feeling himself get angrier and angrier. "I fuckin' hate people." He mumbled to himself.
After a while his phone went off and so he checked it. It was text from Kaiyah telling him to come over for a quick smoke. He texted back, "Sure." He then put the address she sent through into his GPS but went to turn his location off and started driving.
