Natalia Rose walked away from Connor out of fear that he would do something to hurt her. Connor never needed a reason to do something to remind Natalia Rose who she belonged to. Connor had made it a habit to go out of his way to remind Natalia Rose that she belonged to him weekly.

Though Natalia Rose always did her best to try and avoid being reminded she belongs to Connor, but Connor felt the need to keep reminding her to kill any hope of her ever escaping from him.

As Natalia Rose walked away, she and Connor both heard her phone notification bell going off, alerting both of them that she had received a text.

Connor glared at Natalia Rose, waiting for her explanation as to why she had received a text message, when nobody else should be talking to her. "Little Rose, is there something that you are keeping from me?"

"No Connor. Why on earth would you go and assume that I am hiding something from you," Natalia Rose asked while trying to hide the fear in her tone.

"If you're not hiding anything from me, then maybe you won't mind if I check the message that you received. Who knows, maybe you won't mind if I send a reply back to the person who sent you the message," Connor growled out.

"Connor, what if it's one of my parents sending me a text? Do you honestly believe that they kindly to a random man that they don't know about, taking their daughter's phone, sending a reply text back to them," Natalia Rose tried to reason with Connor.

"So, while you were gone, you didn't bother telling them about me," Connor asked while making his way over to Natalia Rose, pinning her against the wall.

"Why would I put my parents at risk by telling them about you," Natalia Rose asked.

"You could have told them that you met someone, and that things between us became serious between us. That most likely would have put their minds at ease, knowing that their little girl met someone that she can see herself spending the rest of her life with," Connor had suggested.

"No point in doing that now. I already gave them a reason. Besides Connor, do you really call holding someone hostage, forcing them to love you a real relationship? Do you consider threatening everyone who matters to me a real loving, healthy relationship? Hell, do you even know what a healthy, loving relationship is; or are you used to always forcing people to do what you want by threatening them and making them fear you," Natalia Rose said.

"Do you think you are being cute with the little game that you are playing with me right now? Because I'll tell you this only once, if you so much as consider playing any games with me, I won't think twice about killing your adoptive parents. Not that you would mind if anything happened to your adopted mother anyway. I'm sure there is no love between the two of you as it is. But what would your little adopted brother say, when he finds out that you were alright with both of your parents getting killed," Connor said.

"Leave my family out of this. You already have what you want. You have a female purebred wolf. What more do you want, other than an heir to carry on the Slaughter name and legacy," Natalia Rose asked.

Connor stroked Natalia Rose's cheek gently before leaning his head down, making Natalia Rose believe that Connor was going to place a kiss on her lips. "You ask me what else it is that I could possibly want, besides an heir who is not only pure blooded, but will be strong like a pure wolf, and carry on my legacy. I also want a beautiful young mate who will remain by my side and help me raise our offspring and teach them the ways of wolves."

"I won't let you turn MY pups into monsters like you. My pups will learn to accept everyone and treat them all with respect," Natalia Rose said.

Connor growled at this. "Cute. You believe that you have a say in how our pups will be taught. You will be the one to care for the pups, yes. You will be the one who feeds, bathes, and takes care of them when they are sick. You may also teach them the basic things that they may need to know like cooking, cleaning, sewing, how to get dressed. But I will be the one to teach them all of the important things that they need to know, like hunting, choosing the perfect pure wolf mate, teaching them that humans are the very bottom of the food chain. All that good stuff. Oh and I will also teach our son everything that he needs to know about being a good, strong, take no bullshit from anyone kind of alpha. That is an important quality for our son to have. As well as have respect for both you and I."

"You're going to turn our children into rabid wolves much like yourself, along with your ban of half breeds. I won't have my innocent children run around town, killing innocent people," Natalia Rose argued back. "Now if you will be as kind as to remove yourself from me, that way I can go and see who it was that had sent me a text."

Connor let Natalia Rose go, following her to the room where she had left her phone. Connor remained close behind her, watching as she read the text message, making her eyes go wide, before she sent a quick reply.

"Who sent you the text," Connor asked in an eerily calm tone causing Natalia Rose's head to snap up and look at him.

"It was a friend telling me how she caught her boyfriend cheating. Which surprised me is all. They were in love with each other. He even talked about possibly proposing to her," Natalia Rose explained hoping that Connor didn't see through her lie.

"Huh. Why don't you tell your friend to eat him? I'm sure he's a pathetic human, who is only looking to gain half of what we have in strength," Connor said knowing that Natalia Rose was lying to him. But Connor decided it would be best to keep things quiet about it for now, while he waited to see what it was that Natalia Rose was truly hiding from him. Though deep-down Connor had a feeling that the message was from one of her family members.

"What kind of response is that? If I tell my friend to eat her soon to be ex-boyfriend that would be cannibalism. And that is greatly frowned upon among humans. I'm not giving my friend that terrible advice," Natalia Rose said still horrified by what Connor had told her to say to her "friend."

Connor rolled his eyes. "You never told me that your friend was human. Not that I approve of it, because I don't like the idea of you mingling with others who aren't wolves like us."

"Well, you don't have to worry about that. You have made it perfectly clear that I am not to leave your sight. Every time I turn around, you're right there always having to keep watch over me and every little thing that I do. I can't even go to town without you or one of your men following me around to keep an eye on me," Natalia Rose said growing slightly annoyed.

"I have my reasons for wanting to keep a close eye on you," Connor said.

"Why," Natalia Rose asked.

"Because you're mine," Connor said.
