"You don't understand. I know that girl who is being forced to remain alongside that guy. She is the reason why I'm here. I came here to pay her a visit. I can't just stand here and watch her sit in an uncomfortable position that she doesn't want to be in," Cayden tried to argue.

"I'm trying to keep you from doing something that will end in you getting yourself killed. If you want to save that young woman, you have to go about this the smart way. You would be no good to that young woman if you are dead," Angelina said.

"How on earth do you propose we go about this," Cayden asked in a defeated tone.

"We get you a place to stay and some employment, that way we can make it look like you're fitting in with our community. Secondly, we need to make it look as though you have a relative here who you are helping out. By doing this, we don't put Connor on alert; which would make it that much harder for us to get close to the young woman we are trying to save. We also need to take into consideration that, if we do anything to piss Connor off, he may go and punish the young woman for our actions. If you don't want that. You have to be smart about this," Angelina said. "Hang tight here. I think I know someone who may be able to help us out." Angelina walked over to where John was sitting.

"I see you were getting well acquainted with the new arrival. Did he say why he came tumbling into our small town," John said.

"He said he was looking for the girl who is being forced to sit with Connor. He almost walked his way over there to get himself killed by Connor, by making an attempt to speak to that girl," Angelina explained. "I told him that by him walking over to Connor, he would only get himself killed. I told him that we have to go about this the smart way."

"What do you have planned," John asked.

"I need you to give the new guy employment, and maybe a place to stay; as well as act like he's your family, should Connor get suspicious of him being here. We both know that Connor will want to know about the new guy," Angelina explained. "I can have the guy meet you out by your truck if you want to speak to him, without the prying eyes of Connor and his pack."

"I'll be waiting for the boy by my truck. Send him out," John said before paying for his beer, walking out of the bar.

Angelina waited until John was out of the bar, before making her way over to where Cayden was sitting. She walked back over, leaning close to Cayden, making sure Connor didn't hear what she said to Cayden.

"John wants you to meet him outside by his truck. It's safer for the two of you to speak out there, that way you don't have to worry about Connor or any of the members of his pack listening in on your conversation with John."

"But what about Natalia Rose? I can't just leave her there with that guy," Cayden said while looking over at Natalia Rose.

Angelina grabbed hold of Cayden's face, turning his face to her. "Don't make that mistake again. Everybody in this town knows better than to look in the direction of Connor and his pack. Only those who have a death wish, look over at Connor and his pack. That is enough talk about Connor and his pack. John Tollerman is waiting for you outside of the bar by his truck. He will tell you all that you need to help you get closer to the girl, so you can save her from Connor."

"Right," Cayden said before paying and getting up, walking out of the bar, making his way over to the truck where John was waiting for him.

"Are you John Tollerman? If you are, the girl in the bar sent me out here to meet you," Cayden explained.

"I am. And the girl behind the bar, her name is Angelina Timmins. You are," John asked.

Cayden thought about it for a moment, thinking it for the best that he gave a fake name for now, considering he's a wanted for the death of his adopted parents. "My name is Danny."

John gave him a look like he didn't believe him, but decided against calling the young man out on his lie. "Alright Danny. Angelina was telling me that you want to save the young woman, who is under Connor's arm. Anyway, I'm sure Angelina filled you in that you can't just go marching in like a knight in shining armor and save that young woman. If you do that you will only get yourself killed. That won't do the young woman any good, if you're dead. What we need is to fool Connor into believing that you are here to build a life for yourself here. That is where I come into play. Angelina asked me to give you a job and a place to stay, since you don't have either. So, if you're interested, I could use a little help with my farm. Are you interested in becoming my farm hand? I can pay you for the help. On top of that, I have a spare place for you to live for helping with the farm. Only if you want the job."

"I don't see why I would turn this job opportunity down. If it helps me get a bit closer to Natalia Rose. I just need enough time to figure out how i can get Natalia Rose away from that guy," Cayden said.

"One thing at a time Danny. First, let's get you used to working as a farmhand. Be warned now, it's a lot of hard work. Think you can handle that job," John asked.

"I'm sure. I can handle anything that you throw at me. When do I start," Cayden asked.

"You can start first thing in the morning. Hop on your bike son. You can follow me to your new home," John said before hopping into the truck, starting it up.

Cayden made his way over to the bike, starting it up waiting for John to lead the way back to the farm where Cayden would be helping out as the farmhand.

Connor watched out the window as John and the new comer left the bar. There is no doubt in his mind, that they are making their way back to John's farm.

The new comer really got under Connor's skin, when he glanced over at the table, looking at his little woman.

Connor got up, getting ready to make his way over to Angelina, but was stopped by Natalia Rose, grabbing hold of his arm, causing Connor to look down at her.

"Please don't do anything to start any trouble. Let's keep peace," Natalia Rose said.

"Don't worry my little wolf. I have no intention of causing trouble. I only want to go and ask Angelina some questions. That's all," Connor said.

Connor made his way over to the bar, waiting for Angelina to notice that he was standing there.

Angelina turned around and looked at him in slight confusion. "Is there something you want, Connor?"

"Who was that boy that you were talking to, Angelina," Connor asked.

"It was someone who just moved here to create a better life for himself. Why do you care anyway, Connor? Do you feel threatened by the new guy who decided to move to Lupine Ridge?"

Connor ignored what Angelina said and proceeded to ask her more questions. "Did he say anything else? Like what he hopes to establish while he's here?"

"No, he just said he wanted to move here for a fresh start," Angelina said, getting ready to walk away, but was stopped by Connor calling her name. Angelina glared at Connor. "What now Connor?"

"It would be best to keep in mind, that I'm not jealous of some newcomer. But if he does anything stupid, nobody will ever find him," Connor growled out before walking away from Angelina.
