"I will when you tell me where to find this man. If he's doing something to harm someone that I care about, then I would like to know where to find them. So, are you going to help me out, or do I have to go and find Natalia Rose all on my own," Cayden asked growing annoyed with the man. "Listen, if anything happens to her, I'm holding it against you, because you decided to keep Natalia Rose's whereabouts a secret from me, when you could have saved her from the man who could be potentially hurting her. Would you be able to live with yourself, knowing that you could have saved her from being tormented or even killed?"
"Boy, if you are trying to get me to feel guilty? Because it's not working. I know Wild Rose better than you do. You claim to know her, but you truly don't. The Wild Rose I remember; she would never allow any man to walk all over her. She would gladly put them in their place," The man said.
Cayden took a deep breath before releasing it. "Please tell me where Natalia Rose is. She's very important to me. And if anything happens to her, I will truly be devastated. She's all that I have left."
"You got feelings for Wild Rose. Don't try and deny it either. I can see it in your eyes, but do be careful when you find her. The man who most likely has her, he doesn't like outsiders snooping around. And if he's claimed Wild Rose to be his mate, he will gladly kill you, just to get rid of the competition," The man said before throwing a dart behind Cayden.
Cayden turned and faced the map eyes following the dart, causing Cayden to walker to the map, until he saw the name of the town that the dart was covering. Cayden turned to ask the man about the location, but noticed the man was no longer there. Cayden turned back to the map, removing the dart and taking a picture before walking out of the bar, studying the map, before climbing onto the bike and taking off to the location he has a picture of.
Don't worry Tallie, I'm on my way to you right now. Then I can save you from whatever mess you got yourself into, Cayden thought to himself as he drove to the location.
Angelina kept glancing over at the table, watching as Connor kept a possessive grip on the young woman who sat next to him.
"Keep glancing over there, Connor is gonna make his way over to the bar and say something to you. We both know that he doesn't want you speaking to his woman," Gail said.
"Gail, aren't you the least bit curious about that young woman who is being forced to hang around with Connor? She might have a family who is missing her right now," Angelina argued with Gail.
"Angelina, if that were the case, then that young woman wouldn't have made her way all the way up to Lupine Ridge. But because she is here, that tells me that she basically has no one that cares about her," Gail argued back.
"That is a cruel way to go and think about someone who is stuck by Connor's side unwillingly," Angelina said glaring at Gail.
Gail rolled her eyes before turning her gaze at the bar entrance spotting John walking through. "Look, there's John now. Why don't you speak to him and see what he knows about Connor's girl. While you do that, I'll tend to the bar," Gail walked away before Angelina could say anything else to her.
John made his way over to the bar, giving Angelina a smile. "Greetings Angelina. You have a beer for a hard-working farmer?"
"For you John, I always have a beer waiting," Angelina said before grabbing a beer for John, placing it in front of him. "When are you going to hire a farmhand to help you out with all of the chores around the farm? You can't keep doing it all on your own. If you keep trying to do everything on your own, you will end up killing yourself. And we don't want that happening. Clara would be awfully lonely without you around. That and Connor might take advantage of Clara being all on her own. We both know how he feels about humans mating with wolves."
"You don't have anything to worry about Angelina. I don't have any intention of dying any time soon. Clara is stuck with me for a while longer," John said before noticing Angelina send a worried glance in the direction of Connor's table. John turned to face the table and noticed a young woman looking uncomfortable in Connor's possessive grip as he chatted away with his fellow pack members. John turned back to Angelina, catching her attention. "You're worried about that young woman. I don't blame you for being worried about her. Judging by the look that she has on her face, you can tell she doesn't want to be there right now."
"Do you have any idea as to who she is, or where Connor might have kidnapped her from," Angelina asked.
John shook his head no. "I don't know anything about the young woman. She's as much of a mystery to me as she is you. I do feel bad for the poor thing. She's stuck by Connor's side with no way of escaping from him."
"She does look miserable being forced to remain by his side. The poor thing doesn't have anybody to talk to. She's truly all alone," Angelina said. "There has to be a way that we can save her from Connor and his pack."
"Are you insane? That would be asking Connor to come down from the mountain and wipe all of us out," John said before glancing back over at Connor's table again, noticing the uncomfortable look on the young woman's face as Connor whispered something to her. John turned away from the scene not wanting to imagine what Connor was doing to the poor woman underneath the table. The very thought made his blood boil. "I stand corrected. Leaving the poor girl with Connor, it would only subject her to anymore torture that Connor has planned for her."
"Do you know anything about her? Do you know if she has any family who may be looking for her right now," Angelina asked.
"I don't know," John said.
Cayden finally pulled into the small rural town. Cayden looked around noticing that there weren't many big businesses in the small town. But they had enough businesses to give them everything they could possibly want and need in a small town. Cayden drove around exploring the town a bit, until he finally stumbled upon a bar.
Cayden pulled into the bar, parking the bike before making his way into the bar sitting down on a stool, placing his head in his hands.
Angelina walked over gaining his attention. "Can I get you something to drink?"
"Yeah. Something strong," Cayden said.'
"How about I start you off with a shot and grab you a beer. You look like you could use it," Angelina said.
"Thanks," Cayden said as Angelina grabbed a glass filling it with a shot, before handing it to him.
"So, what brings you to our small town? We normally don't get any visitors passing through our small town," Angelina explained.
"I'm looking for someone. A young woman actually. Have you seen her passing through here? Her name is Natalia Rose," Cayden said, causing Angelina to go stiff as she was getting ready to walk way to grab Cayden's beer.
"I'm sorry. I never heard that name before my life. And I would know if a young woman by the name should she come passing through. Lupine Ridge is a small rural town. Everybody here knows one another. Should a young woman by that name pass by here, everybody would know her name," Angelina said.
"I have reason to believe that Natalia Rose is wrapped up with a guy who is nothing but trouble. I feel like he's holding her prisoner against her will. I keep getting dreams that I need to save her," Cayden explained.
"You can try. But it would make you a damn fool. Let's just say she is in danger. You don't have a single clue about the guy who has a hold on her right now," Angelina said before glancing over at Connor's table.
Cayden turned glancing at the table as well, spotting Natalia Rose. Cayden went to get up, but was stopped by Angelina grabbing hold of him.
"I wouldn't do that," Angelina said.
"Why not? It's obvious that Natalia Rose doesn't want to be around that guy," Cayden said.
"That guy...is Connor Slaughter. Should you go and approach that table and make any attempt to take that woman away from him; he will kill you. I just saved your life. You're welcome," Angelina said.
