Natalia Rose rushed to her dresser, where her phone lay. She picked it up unlocking it, and read the message that made her go pale.

Cayden you idiot! You have no idea the danger that you are putting yourself in right now. And I can't guarantee that I can keep you safe from Connor. Shit there are times when I can barely keep myself safe from Connor's temper. How the hell am I going to keep you safe from him, Natalia Rose thought to herself before quickly sending a reply to Cayden.

I think it would be in your best interest not to come to me. I have too many things going on at the moment, and I don't think it would be best you come hanging around, while I take care of it, Natalia Rose sent before locking her phone again, before making her way down the stairs to where Connor was waiting for her.

"Ready to go and celebrate when you are," Natalia Rose said.

"Let's get going then. I'm sure the rest of the pack can't wait any longer to head down to the bar and have themselves a good time," Connor replied before wrapping an arm around Natalia Rose's waist, leading her out to the bike.

In no time Connor and his pack were in town, making their way into the bar, heading to their usual table that they always sat at when they hung out there. As they made their way over, Angelina glanced up, noticing a new girl with Connor. Yeah, she had seen her around town once, but that was the only time before today. Angelina had thought that the new girl in Connor's group had somehow managed to escape the small town of Lupine Ridge. Angelina had grown envious of the young woman thinking that she had escaped. But now she feels bad that she felt that way of the young woman. All because the young woman never left Lupine Ridge. That young woman was a prisoner to Connor Slaughter himself.

Angelina was so wrapped up in her own thoughts about the young woman being held captive by Connor, that she didn't notice the devil himself standing in front of her, glaring at her for making him wait.

Connor grew annoyed and knew that Angelina was looking at Natalia Rose, which caused him to let out a warning growl, gaining Angelina's attention. "Don't even think about talking to her. She knows better."

Angelina turned her gaze to Connor. "Where did you kidnap her from Connor? Is she aware of what you are? Is she aware of what half of Lupine Ridge is? Isn't she a bit young for you?"

"She knows exactly what resides here in Lupine Ridge, as well as what I am. Because she's one of us. She's a purebred who is untouched. Naturally I'm gonna claim her for my own. Besides, the mayor did say I can have my pick of any purebred female of this town. You should be thankful for her being here, because if she wasn't, you would be the one in her place; waiting for the mating ceremony to take place. Besides, in exchange for her, my pack and I allow you and the rest of the townsfolk to live in peace; as well as co-exist with you, and what few humans that you all decided to mate with. Also, for the record, I didn't kidnap her. Let's just say that my little mate fell right into my lap at the right time. As for her age, she's the perfect age to give me more than a few pups. So, if I were you Angelina, I would mind my own business. If you so much as think about snooping around to find out any information on my woman, you won't like the consequences that will follow your actions. Now be a doll and bring a round of beers to my normal table. And don't keep us waiting. You already know how much I hate to be kept waiting, Connor warned before walking back to his table.

Angelina let out a shiver as she grabbed Connor's usual order that he and is boys always ordered. She brought it over to Connor's table handing them around to everyone, serving Natalia Rose a beer as well.

Natalia Rose gave Angelina a questioning look as to why she was being handed a beer, before Angelina spoke up.

"It looks like you can use it," Angelina said causing Connor to growl at her. "What? All I said to her was that it looked like she could use it."
