Chapter 12

Katie's POV

I got back to the house and went into the basement through the secret backdoor. I turned to the corner to see everyone down there staring at me.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" I asked putting my bow in the case.

I took off the jacket and pants leaving me in shorts and a shirt.

They all turned their heads in other directions.

"Oliver went to solve his own city problems and he said to meet you at the precinct there. Says he wants to talk to Captain Lance. But not without you." Felicity said not taking her eyes off the computer.

I grabbed my suit and ran out the door leaving Max behind.

I sped to the alleyway and waited for Oliver on the fire escape. He showed up with some guys tied up and dropped them at the back entrance.

"About time you showed up." I joked jumping down from the fire escape.

He nudged me, "Funny...hey you okay?"

"Fine. It feels good to be back." I replied.

Captain Lance burst from the back door, "Hey I need to talk to you two!"

"Go ahead Captain." Oliver offered.

"Don't you think it's weird how as soon as Oliver Queen and Katie Allen return from the dead you two come back as well?" Captain Lance raised an eyebrow.

"Nope." Oliver shook his head.

I face palmed, "We might as well tell him."

Oliver sighed, "Fine..."

We turned off our voice disguise devices and pulled down our hoods and masks.

"I'll be damned." Lance replied. "I knew it! I can't believe you beat the polygraph!"

Oliver winced, "Sorry about that..."

"I should arrest the both of you! But I won't..." Lance yelled.

"Uh thanks?" Oliver said.

"Central City isn't your jurisdiction." I pointed out.

Lance shrugged, "Whatever." He stuck his hand out, "Thanks a lot, countless times."

Oliver and I shook his hand.

"Honestly I expected you to arrest us." I said.

Lance smiled and went back inside with the guys Oliver caught.

"How'd the armor truck robbery go?" Oliver asked as we got on our bikes after pulling up our hoods.

"Good. I got the guys and one of the drivers was still alive so he made it to the hospital." I replied over the wind.

We pulled into the driveway and went through the secret backdoor.

"What'd Captain Lance want?" Diggle asked.

"Who we were." I answered. "He's not stupid so he was going to figure it out eventually."

"You told him who you were?!" Barry's jaw dropped.

"Kinda had to." Oliver defended me.

"Hey Barry can I come to the precinct tomorrow? See everybody." I asked putting my bow away.

"Yeah of course. Bring Max. He's gone with me everyday so he really loves it there." Barry offered.
