Barry's POV 9 Months Later

It's been nine months since the news reported Katie's plane went missing. The police decided to assume that everyone is dead.

So here I stand in front of Katie's grave all by myself because I wanted a small funeral. Everyone went home hours ago but I've been here just staring at the stone.

"I can't believe I let you go." I whispered to myself. "I promise, I'll keep Central City safe. I'll take care of Max."

Max whined and curled up in front of the grave, refusing to move.

Katie's POV

"I can't believe it's been a year already Olly." I said as we walked out of the plane.

"And yet no boat. And we're actually alone this time." He replied.

"What?!" I stopped in my tracks.

"Nothing!" Oliver quickly said.

I shook my head and climbed Lookout Rock.

"You have to admit. The view is nice." I pointed out.

"You're not wrong." Oliver agreed and sat down on the rock dangling his feet over the edge.

"Of course I'm not!" I elbowed him.

Oliver wrapped his arms around me and kissed me softly.

"You..." I started in between kisses. "Didn't..." Oliver started trailing them on my neck. "Happen to bring any..."

Oliver moved so I was on my back and he was towering over me.

"Of course I did!" He exclaimed.

Barry's POV

Max wouldn't budge from Katie's stone so I stayed there with him both of us in sorrow.

"Max come on we should go home." I whispered.

Max whimpered and turned his head away from me.

"Is this what she would've wanted?" I asked reaching my hand out for him.

Max leaned his head into my hand as he stood up.

"Good boy. I'll give you a nice treat when we get home." I smiled.

Max took off for the car. I shook my head and followed him.

Katie's POV

"Mm the sun. It's so warm." I murmured.

I sat up and stretched out my arms and leaned my head back.

Oliver poked me in my side jokingly.

"Hey!" I complained.

I grabbed my bow and took off into the forest looking for targets that Oliver said he had set up from a long time ago. I started running in the forest jumping over rocks and ducking under branches.

"Hey!" A voice yelled behind me.

I whipped around aiming an arrow at the guy, "Who the hell are you?"

"Who are the hell are you?" The man asked.

"Survival training with a friend. Who are you?" I asked.

"Looking for someone." The man replied.

"Who?" I asked slightly lowering my bow.

"Katie!" Oliver called.

"I'm over here!" I replied.

Oliver came from the bushes and waved to the man.

"This guy said he was looking for someone." I pointed out lowering my bow.

"Slade Wilson actually. Waller said she wants him as part of the Suicide Squad." The man replied.

"He's dead." I said bluntly.

"I was afraid of that..." The man said.

Suddenly men in black SWAT gear surrounded us.
