“Don't know!! You said this? Are you stupid?” She mocked her.

It was Gracy's sister Ruby who shouted while throwing a pillow across the room to her. She was done with her pathetic answer to the offer.

“Ain't no way you can go alone so if you're getting a company then what's with this hesitation?” Ruby said.

Gracy looked down listlessly lost in her thoughts.

It was a middle class family of four. Their father was the one ruling over the home. No one speak much infront of him. Since the childhood Gracy had never seen her father being friendly he was always very strict and conserved. Even their mother lived in a fear of him. Because of the atmosphere of her family Gracy had never found herself smiling and enjoying. She had grew up being an overthinker and a lonely person.

“But dad will never allow it” Gracy said and her eyes shows no will of fighting she had already given up on the idea of going to the fresher party.

“That's true but still you can try.. anyway when it's helding?” Ruby consoled.

Even though she didn't care much about her still she wants her to go.

“Probably next month.” Gracy muttered.

“Make them your friends till then and don't be a Dumbo as you are!”

She hit her head lightly before leaving the room.

Gracy nodded and continued thinking of ways to convince her father.

                     Next day

On the way of going to college Gracy mind was filled with questions of are we gonna sit together and talk like yesterday or maybe they forgot about me now? Overthinking everything was one of her habits but she stopped thinking as soon she entered the gate and saw Suzie waving at her..

Surprisingly she was holding her bag so maybe she just arrived and saw Gracy.

That's what she thought before approaching her.

“Hey gracy!! Good morning.”

With a warm smile Suzie greeted her who greeted back giving a small smile..

“You just arrived?” Gracy asked to confirmed it.

“No way I was waiting for you” Suzie denied quickly.

With that said Gracy was very surprised she asked again cause it was totally opposite of what she thought would happen.

“Yeah I saw you walking down the street while coming from the car so I thought to wait for you..” She smiled brightly.

Suzie was heading towards the building with Gracy walking beside who was getting a very unfamiliar emotion. She can't believe she just sighed in relief for finally having someone to walk together to their class.

“Why would you do that?” she asked again.

She really didn't expect suzie to wait for her and expected the same of how people have treated her in school. It's all in her mind because Suzie was different if she had considered anyone her friend then it's for lifetime. And waiting for your friend is not a big deal for her.

Suzie was really a pure and kindest person anyone could ever met but this type of people in Gracy perspective never exists..

“Waiting for a friend is wrong? Haha Gracy your question surprised me!”

Suzie hit her lightly while laughing..

Gracy expressionless face slowing breaks into smiling as she saw her laughed..
