chapter 6

It's finally the day everyone was waiting for ‘Fresher party of 1st year students’ Something different is going to happen. This night that might change someone's life forever..

With mixed feeling of nervousness and excitement Gracy stood infront of her mirror judging herself as she had wore the dress she bought with Suzie..

She had a simple look with brushed hair opened. She actually looked very uniquely beautiful but to her she felt outdated cause she doesn't knew much about makeup or any style..

As she was zoning out while staring at herself a thought came into her mind which had kept her awake all night..

Who do I like? Sam? 

She asked herself remembering the question Suzie asked yesterday..

“Do you perhaps like Sam?”

Shocked Gracy choked on her food not believing that Suzie thought of her liking someone because no one comes in her mind when she thinks of a word "love"

“No I can't even remember his name.. why do you think I like him?” Gracy replied after sometime of thinking.

“Oh I was just asking hehe, you know he is quite popular so” Suzie nervously laughed.

I can't think of anyone when it's about love..

Gracy was caught off by herself only when she tries ignore the fact that whenever she closes her eyes and think about love or anything only Suzie smiling face comes..

She shrugged off the thought and gaslight herself into believing that it's maybe because Suzie is her only friend.

And the truth being a mystery.

(In the present)

“I shouldn't feel this way towards her. Stop thinking damn it!” Gracy groaned.

She was frustrated and kept repeating these words in her mind before leaving. She almost forget to inform her mom and rushed back to her mother's room who was resting peacefully.

Gracy stood at the door awkwardly waiting for her mother to notice her. She did threw a glance towards her dressed daughter and murmured ‘be safe’ before closing her eyes again. The reaction was enough for Gracy as she didn't expect much.

With a small smile she left and walked side ways but soon she started feeling insecure as she was overly dressed in comparison to other people in normal clothes. So she hurriedly paced ignoring the eye contacts of others.

As soon as she reached her college entrance, she took a step behind to admire how beautiful the building was looking with lights on it..

Gracy checked the time as Suzie had asked her to wait for her in the entrance at 5:00 but it was already past half time, anxiety started kicking in as she waits  patiently.

But the wait was not for much soon she could hear Suzie calling her name, before facing her she took a deep breath out of nervousness about what Suzie would think of how she is looking and knowing how breath taking Suzie must be looking..

“Ahhh Gracy you looked so beautiful and elegant goshh you should wear more dresses. Really!!”

Suzie cried in happiness not believing how unique yet simple she looked, but who could hear and talk infront someone who herself looked like an angel dropped from heaven. She was too bright for Gracy poor eyes. With the racing heartbeat Gracy felt like embracing her tightly in her arms as she somehow felt so close yet so far..

“Tell me how do I look?” Suzie asked while showing her puppy eyes.

Gracy wanted to scream as she can't handle her beauty and cuteness together.
