Chapter 23: dancing in the rain.

Hey guys after a full month and I am back 😭
I'm really sorry I've been procrastinating like crazy and did not upload anything last month. This chapter I wrote half last month but finished it literally 5 mins ago today because I was procrastinating. I was also reading a few other novels and I'm not good at multi-tasking. I'll try my best to upload more chapters soon. Till then enjoy this chapter because it is so damn cute. They are so cute.

"Okay class next week we have an internship in dignity help. So y'all better be ready to put your knowledge into action." Me and Sierra exchanged excited glances with each other. Dignity help was an hospital in san luis Obispo literally 5 mins away from campus. I've always loved internships plus this one I was gonna attend with Ryder. I went to one during my senior year of highschool and the whole experience is so new and exciting. Ryder and Aaron however showed no signs of excitement. Anyways. 

After class was over me and Ryder were walking hand in hand in the hallways. Maybe it's the new relationship jitters or maybe it's been way too long since I've been in this close proximity to a man because my heart was racing. Its been only a few hours since we got together and I'm finally feeling content. 

But i would be lying if I said i didn't have the tiniest flick of doubt in my head. Just a tiny tiny bit. I definitely trust him and honestly him going from a casual guy to a dating guy is a huge change. But i think something that I've learnt from my childhood as an introvert kid is to take more risks. I know it's scary but if i don't try it then i might end this before it could blossom into something beautiful. I looked over at Ryder and he smiled down at me. I hope I'm right. 

When we reached his class i stood on my tiptoes to whisper to him "I'm scared." 

"Don't be. Just stick close to me and everything will be fine." Those brown eyes lookin at me and i looked away before he could see how red I was turning. 

We walked to his class. It was a similar auditorium to mine except in this one there were no Students with white coats. Me and Ryder sat at the most end of the class. 

When we sat down he put his hands to support his face while he titled his face to look at me. I wrinkled my eyebrows at him "what?" 

He raised his eyebrows at me and whispered in my ear "did you seriously think i bought you here to study?" 

Realisation hit on my face and i patted his hand lightly. Red crept into my face again. "What is wrong with you?" 

He put his hands up defensively "what? We're sitting at the back for a reason." I lowered my head to cover my laugh and my eyes widened before I said. 

"There's no way." 

"Yeah now we can hold hands freely" he grabbed my hand and put our interwined hands on his lap. While his other hand took out his tablet. Then he looked at me smirking "why what did you think?" 

"Shut up." Ryder chuckled at me before the professor came in and we became quiet to actually study. I did my assignment for this week so homework would not pile up at the end of the week.

We heard the downpour of the rain as soon as we exited the class. It suddenly became cold, goosebumps spread on my legs and i suddenly regretted the decision of wearing a skirt today. I folded my arms together in front of chest in an attempt to make myself feel warm. Suddenly I felt huge hands around my waist pulling me into the warm heat of him. As i crashed against his chest, his perfume entered my nostrils and suddenly I wanted to get more close. 

I looked up at him and he was smiling down at me with an amusing smile he said "you're not cold are you?" 

I rolled my eyes and said obliviously while wrinkling my eyebrows "no. It's not cold is it?" Knowing obviously if he moved his arm even an inch goosebumps would spread even on my waist. 

Then he said "great because I've got a great idea." His hands left my waist and yup I was right. 
he pulled his crewneck off with one hand and handed it to me. 
I looked at him with raised eyebrows "this is the idea?" 
Now he rolled his eyes. God he was becoming the male version of me. "Just put it on lo." 
I obeyed and put on his crewneck which was extremely oversized on me. It almost covered my mini skirt. "Now what?" 

I found his mischievous grin back on his face and suddenly he yanked my hand and pulled me into the heavy rain. 

Water droplets at super fast speed dropped on me and I saw Ryder laughing. Like literally a genuine laugh. I've never seen him so happy and suddenly i started feeling warm despite being drenched in the rain. 

I splashed water at his laughing face "you are so annoying." 
I caught a wink from his face and i never imagined this day would come where Ryder Rothwell would be winking to me in the rain. 

He extended his hand at me and said "come on" i took his hand and this man was literally slow dancing with me in the middle of campus. I saw a lot of students running from the rain i also caught a lot of looks from people who thought we were probably crazy. 

"What kind of movies have u been watching recently?" I looked up at him his wet hair looked so sexy. 

He shrugged his shoulders and i felt his hot breath on my ear "a man never tells." 
I laughed at his comment "i think it's a lady never tells." 
He looked genuinely surprised "wait is it?" 
And that made me laugh more. The sounds of rain matched with the echo of my laughter. 
Who knew the brooding biker guy would turn out to be a romantic?
