It is only a few days before we are preparing for our journey to investigate a lead James has found. Our destination is a tavern in a small coastal town a day's ride away. The air is almost pulsing with the expectation that this lead will lead us closer to the children and those behind it. Although I love being here in Lucien's manor, I cannot wait to see more of the world.

It is a hive of activity the morning we leave. Mary has made us some food for the journey including some more peach Danishes. We have decided to forgo the carriage as it is easier to go unnoticed on horseback, which is a good thing considering there are still those outside the safety of Lucien's land that want me. We manage to leave without incident, even stopping for a beautiful lunch by a small pond. We reach the tavern by nightfall. Being a small town it isn't as rowdy as the other ones we have visited. We sit in the corner and order a drink each and dinner to eat while we wait for our contact. We eat and talk and laugh together until we are joined by a man in a green clock, long brown hair, and green eyes similar to mine.

"Good evening, I am Lucien, and this is Tamryn

"Good evening, I am Lucien, and this is Tamryn. You are James' friend, correct?"

"Yes, that is correct, my name is Liam."

Liam is looking at me closely as I am at him. There is some kind of familiarity that we can both feel. I frown slightly wanting to know how he feels familiar.

"Everything alright love?" Lucien asks, squeezing my hand.

"Yeah, sorry. It's just..." I turn back to Liam, "do we know each other somehow? You seem familiar somehow."

Liam turns to me "I feel it too, but I am sure we have never met."

We stare at each other for a while curious about each other.

"Perhaps you share a heritage, where are you from Liam?" Lucien asks as he watches us.

"My ma kept us on the move. Almost every three years we would move, I am not sure where she was from, she didn't like talking about it much. It's unfortunate, I would have liked to know my heritage as well." I send him a sympathetic smile.

We talk for a while getting to know each other, Liam telling us about all the different places he has seen and me fascinated. The more we talked the more the feeling of familiarity grew. Before long the conversation turned to the information he had discovered.

"I have received some information about a sale coming up soon. The objects for sale range from jewellery to 'servants of all ages'. I heard that there will be some big names there from all different realms, including vampires." Liam explained as I shoot a look to Lucien. "The only problem is the sale is being held on a small island. To get there you need to go there by ship."

I look at Lucien to gage his response. I had never been on a ship, never even seen one in real life.

"That shouldn't be an issue." Lucien smiles, "We can find passage on a ship headed that way without issue. James will be able to set that up. I will organise it with him tonight. How soon is the sale?"
