I awoke the next morning. My stomach felt sick. My throat was dry and my eyes were swollen from all the tears I had shed. But I wasn't weak. I couldn't be weak. That's not how my father taught me.

That's why ten minutes later I was downstairs for breakfast. Teeth brushed, hair groomed, smile plastered on my face. Everyone ate silently. Leo was of course off doing work for something but Angelo and Sofia always found time to eat with me so I wouldn't be lonely. Sofia could sense I was tense but she knows me well enough not to bother with questions. Angelo was focused on walking again, complaining how the crutches didn't work well with the ladies. "So, how was your date last night?" Sofia asked, breaking the silence.

My stomach churned at the memory of last night and I screwed my eyes shut, trying to stop the tears from falling. I took I silent deep breath and regained control. "Good. You know how Leo is, all brooding. There wasn't too much conversation. But it was nice." Sofia's smile was a little too big and I could tell the ship had already sailed. I wondered what ship name she was thinking for us. "Atheno" "Aleo".

My mind drifted to last night again and I didn't even hear that Sofia was talking to me again. It wasn't until her hands clapped directly in front of my face that I snapped back to reality. "Hello? I'm asking you about your wedding? Today marks three months away!" Her cheery tone lifted my mood a little and I smiled, "Right, yes! Wedding! So soon." My broken sentences made her eyebrow quirk but Angelo just laughed. The rest of breakfast went smooth with little small talk and soon I was ready to go see my favorite people.

I was thinking the best thing to take my mind off last night would be to see them. After dismissing myself from breakfast I rapidly moved towards the East wing. I had hoped all went well and they were tucked away safely in Aries room. The hopeless part of me was worried that it didn't even work, and Ina wasn't back. But when so much dark shit had happened to me in the past 24 hours I decided to remain hopeful.

I threw the door to room 14 opened and nearly cried when I saw my little red headed friend happily talking to Ina. Her head swiveled my way and her smile was so big and beautiful I lunged into her open arms. "I'm backkkkkk!" She sing-songed as I pulled away. A tear fell from my eyes and I just smiled like a goofy idiot whose best friend had just rose from the dead. "Thanks for the new body! I love it. I knew you wouldn't do me dirty."

My eyebrows raised, "What do you mean 'you knew?" Ina just smirked, "I obviously knew you wouldn't let Leo just kill me and get away with it! That bastard. Don't worry I told him off real good before he ripped my head off." The dark statement had the opposite effect and I started laughing. "And your little red-headed friend over here is just the sweetest! I couldn't ask for a better roommate." I smiled even bigger. I knew they would get along.

Aries just smiled awkwardly as she sat and watched us interact. I stayed down there for another hour, catching Ina up on everything before deciding I should go back. I didn't want Leo to come searching and find my refugee. I may have left out a very crucial part of the previous night but I couldn't even think of it let alone talk about it. I would tell Ina when I was ready. And when Aries wasn't around. Her innocent mind shouldn't be exposed to that stuff just yet.

On my way back up I ran into Angelo hobbling down the hallway. "There you are! Boss wants you in his office right now. I've been searching for you. Do you know how hard it is to wonder around this giant castle with crutches?"

"No. Not really." I answered sarcastically and he glared at me. "Just go meet him, I need a nap." Angelo's crutches clicked down the hallway towards his room while I walked the opposite way. Back to the amazing office of the so-called "boss".

The door swung open as I pushed my way into the room. Who the hell needs an office this big? "Ah, mi tesoro has finally decided to show her pretty face." I rolled my eyes at his flirty remark and sat at the plush chair across his desk. "What do you want, Leo?"

He chuckled, "Always so serious, Athena," my heart always goes wild when he says my name, "I just have a few questions about last night."

The wild beating of my heart instantly slowed. "What might those questions be?" I asked confidently, trying to hide the shake in my voice. "Well. I know you lied to me. So I'm going to ask you one more time, what happened?"

His voice was hard, serious, and it sent chills down my spine. How did he find out? "Nothing happened. I went in to fix my neck, that was your fault by the way, in case you forgot, and I got hit suddenly with some bad cramps." Leo's eyes narrowed. He didn't believe me.

"Then why did I get a call this morning from the manager asking if my fiancé was feeling better today after her 'episode' in the bathroom yesterday?" My spine stiffened and I clenched my jaw. "I had a mild panic attack as she called it because of my cramps. That's all."

"Hm," he muttered, grabbing a pen off his desk and twisting it through his fingers, "I don't believe you." I went to fight back when suddenly the pen was on the ground and Leo was across the desk, his hand wrapped tightly behind my head, "Lie one more time mi amor and I will kill you're cyber friend for good this time." He seethed and my heart stopped. Of course he knew Ina was back. I was stupid to think he wouldn't find out. Then why hasn't he said anything earlier? My thoughts were cut as his grip tightened at the base of my neck. He grabbed my hair and yanked my head back so I was making direct eye contact.

"Tell. Me. The. Truth." Leo growled and goosebumps erupted on my skin. "I don't have to. You already know what happened, don't you?" I choked out as the tears came streaming down my face. Once again, the memories of last night were forced down my throat, and I couldn't do anything to stop crying.

Leo's grip released and he sat back in his chair. His hands clasped together tightly as he watched me cry. You may be wondering how I knew he knew what happened to me. Like I said before, I'm not an idiot. And when he reached to grab me just a few moments ago, I saw one of the prominent tattoos very clearly on his neck. The same serpent that wrapped around the guys neck who had assaulted me. Leo knew. And he did nothing about it.
