Leo found out. It wasn't pretty. I watched as he paced back and forth across his office. Even though he changed into a smooth suit and gelled his hair down, he still appeared disheveled. He suddenly stopped at the front of his desk and slammed his hands down, making me jump. "Who is it?!" He yelled at no one in particular.

"Who is who?" I peeped. He turned around to face me. Flames igniting in his eyes and his chest heaving. "There's someone here who's been ratting me out. And now they killed someone." He growled before grabbing a vase off the bookshelf and throwing it across the room. I jumped again as the vase shattered into a million pieces. "Leo. Calm down." I said sternly. He looked up at me, glaring deep into my soul. He walked over to the pile of shattered glass and picked up a large shard. He walked over to me swiftly and pinned me to the wall. I stood tall, staring into his narrowed eyes.

He held the sharp glass up to neck and traced it over the scar he left before. I refused to break eye contact as I straightened my shoulders even more. "Do it." I hissed, my teeth seething. His hand shook as he dug the glass into my flesh but he still hesitated. "Do it!" I screamed in his face. He blinked then stepped back, roaring angrily, and threw the glass at the wall. It shattered into smaller pieces and my chest heaved as I tried to regain a normal rhythm.

Leo ran a sweaty hand through his curls and I watched him steady himself. "I have to find out who it is. You're distracting me." He whispered lowly. "I know." I whispered back. He looked up, his eyes piercing me like daggers, "Get out Athena, before I kill you." His adam's apple bobbed and I nodded.

I walked very slowly back to my room. It was evident we were both psychopaths. Or at least driven to insanity by our unfortunately given lives. We must've inherited it from our fathers. Who were now using us. The feud between Facia and Gaiden will never end no matter the bloodline, which is why we must try to make the country one. Which is why we must kill the other in order to gain control. Unfortunately, there's no peaceful way of ending this.

The more I'm around Leo the easier it gets for me to imagine killing him. Sure, there's sexual attraction and that stuff. But when you're someone who was never taught love, you're someone who can never feel it. And Leo's the same way.

I collapsed onto my bed and sunk into the soft mattress. Visions clouded my already overwhelmed mind and I screwed me eyes shut, desperate to get them to go away. Elena dead, her throat slashed open. Aries bruised and battered from the abuse she suffered. Ina's soulless brainwashed gaze. Sofia's sad eyes after she lost her parents. Angelo with a gun to his head. My father, slapping me across the face. That memory feels so distant, so long ago, but it's hardly been four months.

I hadn't even realized I started crying until I felt the warm, wet tear dribble into my ear. I sat up quickly. Desperate not to feel the pain anymore. Suddenly the only think on my mind was to make the mental pain fade, even if it meant making it physical.

TW SELF HARM UNTIL ***

I frantically searched my room. Throwing things around, searching through drawers. My heart skipped a beat when I came across a small lighter meant for candles. I held it up in front of me my hand visibly shaking. I can do it. It'll be fine. It'll blend in with the rest of my scars. I have so many scars. What's a few more. Right?

I sat slowly down on the ground in front of my door in case anyone tried to come in. Flicking the lighter on, I held my scarred arm out. Lifting the lighter to my flesh, I waited for the pain to start. To kick in. To erase the thoughts that clouded my brain.

My flesh burned and I took the first big breath I've taken in what's felt like days. I flicked it off and waited a second. Then did it again. The pain completely erased the mental blockage and I smiled to myself.

***

"Athena!" Banging suddenly shook the door frame behind me. The lighter snapped off and I threw it across the room. I stood up quickly and swung the door open. "Hello?" I said calmly as I came face to face with the raging man from earlier. "It's gotten worse."

...

Leo, Sofia, Angelo and I sat around a large table in one of the conference rooms. A few other members of Leo's close security team stood around, listening from afar. "Another person was found dead. Clearly Alton is playing some kind of twisted game and I'm tired of it. When I find out who the snake is, they'll regret it." Leo spoke angrily, his hands gripping the side of the table so hard his knuckles were white. "We'll find him, boss. Whoever it is." Angelo assured and Leo gave him a small smile. "Agreed." Sofia said sternly, her serious side never failed to both amuse and terrify me.

"Well we can't let whoever it is keep killing innocent people." Leo said as his head fell back and he stared at the ceiling in deep thought. In my head I laughed. Elena was hardly innocent. She slept with an engaged man. But that doesn't mean she deserved to die so gruesomely. "Who was it that they killed?" I questioned. Sofia gave me a painful and Leo cleared his throat.

"Your dress coordinator, Bowen I think her name was." Leo spoke casually and my heart sunk. "What? What was she even doing here?"

"Apparently she received a text saying that there was an emergency and you needed to be resized. We've tried to trace the text but we can't find where it came from." Angelo spoke confidently after remaining silent this whole time. Whoever was doing this was clearly out to get Leo and I. They killed his mistress and then they killed someone I was fond of. Whoever it was, was going to get it. I saw the familiar murderous glint in Leo's eyes that resided in my own.

After the meeting was dismissed, Leo said he wanted to meet me privately in his office. I told him I will be there when I get to it. So, I showered, curled my hair, tried a few new makeup ideas I saw online and finally changed into a pair of leggings and a tank top.

When I came into his office, he was sat patiently at his chair. "What took you so long, amor? I was starting to get worried." He said sarcastically and I huffed. "I have more important things to do." My snobbish reply made him chuckle, "Like try new eyeliner?" My eyes widened, I didn't think he would notice. "I like it, tesoro. Shows the darker side of you that no one besides me gets to see."

My heart thudded in my chest as I walked up to his desk and sat down across from him. "What do you want to talk about?" I questioned.

"Well," he sighed and stared at me mischievously, "I know whoever this spy is murdered someone we were both... fond of. I could see that murderous glint in your eyes you get when you look at me and I knew instantly what had to be done."

I stared at him curiously, urging him to continue his spiel and trying to ignore the fact he's "fond" of Elena. "So, I decided once we find out who it is, we can kill this person together."

My body stiffened. "So is it like a date?" I joked and he eyes me with desire, "Yes mi principessa, a super fun date." My body heated up and goosebumps rose on my skin. "Then yes," I replied a little breathless, "it's a date."

LEOS POV

After my little trouble maker left the room, I needed a moment to think. This date would be very fun indeed. I've always wanted to see what my little sweet fiancés methods of death were, since she intends to exert them on me.

Of course I didn't care about Elena's death. She was just a distraction after Athena and I's night. It was nearly impossible to rid my thoughts of her soft skin and her desperate pleas as I pleasured her for the first time in her life. I could feel my cock stiffen at the mere memory of her small moans. I only liked to bring Elena up because I always noticed how Athena's eyes darkened when I mentioned her. It was almost adorable.

And now we have this date planned which is mostly a ploy to see what Athena's weaknesses are in a death-related circumstance but I also couldn't ignore the excitement that ran through my veins. It would be interesting to see if I can last watching her do such things.

My hardened cock stiffened against the tightness of my dress pants as I stood. My little fiancé was sure able to make me feel things I didn't understand and it worried me. But soon she'll be dead, and I won't have to worry about it any longer.
