Kibishi's POV

"I'll look into the map and meet you downstairs, Kishi. Why don't you head down first?" Tao suggested.

"Sure," I nod.

I wave goodbye to Tao and head downstairs-

Tsk!

I stop midway. I look at the doorway as my eyes shake in fear. "What was that just now?" I thought to myself.

"Kishi? Is there something wrong?" Tao whispers in concern.

"Nothing," I shook my head.

"Well, it was faint, but something happened while we were here." I sweat.

But who's-?

Bu-bump!

"Kuma! Jir!" I shouted out of instinct.

Step! Step! Step!

"Kishi?!" Tao says with fear.

"Don't move! Stay there, Tao! I mean it!" I shouted out of fear and frustration.

"O-okay..." Tao whispers in agreement.

Step! Step! Step!

I rushed with all my might and saw the metal door ahead-

Slam!

I slam it open and ready my megaphone! I looked around and could tell that they were there. "Why didn't they come up to see us?" I whisper in sadness. I put away my megaphone and walk inside slowly.

The air in here is tight. I wonder-

"Kishi-"

"Ah!" I jumped back when I heard someone call out to me. I looked and saw Tao with a nervous look. "Ah, geez Tao! You scared me!"

"I'm sorry..." Tao apologizes while frowning at me.

"...No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you, Tao." I smile at my orange-haired friend. I look around and turn serious. "We were out for too long. Kuma and Jir could be in trouble." I said.

"And Yosei?" Tao asks with a serious tone.

"...." I shake my head and smile at Tao. "I'm sure she tried her best to keep them safe!"

"Then why did you panic like that?" Tao says with a stern look.

"I-I mean, I..." I tried to make an excuse, but nothing came out of my mouth. "That means Yosei has something to do with it, right? I could tell you know that, too."

"B-but..." I look at the ground. "I know! I'll prove it wasn't her! After all, Yosei is our friend!"

"..." Tao frowns. Tao looks away. "Kishi, no offense, but Yosei isn't trustworthy.  Even Kuma has doubts about her older sister. If even Kuma has doubts, then that's saying something."

"D-don't be ridiculous, Tao! Sure, she acted weird, but Yosei has been alone for the past two years! That explains the way she move right now! We shouldn't judge a book by its cover!" I replied.

"But Kishi..." Tao whispers.

"...I trust Yosei. I'm not sure why, but I do. Way more easily, too, than the Mato or Kibun the first time we meet. It's like... meeting an old friend after so many years." I say out of instinct.

"Even more than me...?" Tao says, sounding heartbroken.

"What? N-no! Awe, Tao, stop giving me that look! You know I can't take that look..." I whisper while feeling tears appearing in my eyes.
