It had been about a week since Motomiya was officially enrolled in UA High School. With nowhere to stay, he lived on the streets near the UA border and would only change into his uniform after making it into the school. It was tedious keeping his uniforms clean with no money for the laundromat, but it had been going well so far. Now, he was on his way to his classroom.
Upon entering the classroom, he saw Aozora holding a small briefcase with the number ten on the front. "Your hero costume is finally done!" He said, handing it to Motomiya.
He took the case and set it on a desk. He felt excited about how his costume would look. With this, he would be one step closer to becoming an actual hero. His heart beating faster and faster, he opened the case and saw his costume neatly folded. He couldn't quite make out some of the costume with it folded, but he already knew that it would look amazing.
"You should go put it on since you're training with some other students today," Aozora instructed.
He looked up from the costume. "What? I didn't know that," He said, confused.
Aozora blinked and then chuckled. "I guess I forgot to tell you about that. Sorry," He said, "UA High holds special classes for those wanting to train during summer vacation. Today's the first one this break, and I went and added you to it. According to Eraser, the class will focus on saving innocent bystanders and capturing a villain. You and six students from class 1-A will need to determine what happened at a scene of a crime. You'll have to determine whether or not a villain was at fault and whether or not you should fight. Eraser will be judging your ability to assess the situation as well as how well you defuse it. Suit up and head to Ground Beta."
Motomiya shut the case and left the classroom, first heading to the lockers to change and then to Ground Beta where the other students were.

He ran to Ground Beta, fearing he would be late to the class since he had taken too much time getting his costume on. The costume felt great on him. The shirt fit to his body well and he liked the design of the white triangle on the front, the pants were just baggy enough to where they stayed on and were comfortable, the belt added a pop of color with the yellow and had notepads and pens attached to the front, and the boots were sturdy and light.
He finally made it to where the rest of the students were. They were all in flashy hero costumes and exuded confidence. Among the group was a girl with big eyes and a green bodysuit, a girl with blushing cheeks and curvy features, a boy head-to-toe in white armor, a boy with red and white hair who also had a burn scar, a boy with grenade gauntlets and an angry look, and a boy with fluffy, green hair and freckles. He was in awe with how well made and cool looking their costumes were.
"This is Naruko Motomiya from class 2-A. He'll be joining you today," a tired, almost disheveled looking man introduced.
"I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to work with an upperclassman," the green haired boy said with a smile. His presence felt so warm and comforting, as if he were a lifelong friend.
"Tsuyu Asui. Nice to meet you, Motomiya," the girl with the large eyes introduced.
"My name's Ochaco Uraraka," the girl with the blush said with a smile.
"Shoto Todoroki," the boy with the two toned hair and scar introduced.
"My name is Tenya Iida. It's a pleasure to meet you," the boy in the armor said.
"I don't need to introduce myself to some extra," the boy with the grenade gauntlets spat.
"Sorry about him. That's Bakugo," Iida apologized.
Motomiya put an open hand in front of him. "No, it's fine," He responded.
Motomiya and a few others looked around the corner of the building they were standing by. There were countless cardboard cutouts of police officers in front of a store. It was ironic to him that he was now on the side of the officers.
"This must be where the crime is taking place," Iida pointed out. They then turned towards Eraserhead.
"I'll brief you on the situation," Eraserhead started. "There's been an attack in this jewelry store. The employees and customers have been taken hostage and are barricaded inside."
"Sounds familiar," Motomiya joked to himself in his head.
"The number of villains and bystanders is unknown. As pro heroes, you have been asked by the police to intervene and resolve this incident to the best of your abilities," He explained.
"Excuse me, Mr. Aizawa!" Iida asked, his hand raised high in the air. "Our teachers-- are they playing the roles of hostages or villains?"
"I won't be answering any questions," Aizawa said, his brows furrowed and tone having a hint of anger and annoyance. "Verify the situation yourself and act accordingly."
All of a sudden, it felt like all of the students changed, as if a switch in their minds had been flicked. They all were standing confidently and had readiness painted across their faces. "Yes, sir!" They said in unison.
"Uh- yes, sir," Motomiya added.
"With that, let the capture training begin," Aizawa said just as a buzzer blared through the area.
Everyone but Bakugo and Todoroki peered out from the corner and watched the front of the jewelry store.
"Okay. What's our first move?" Iida asked Midoriya.
"That's easy," Midoriya responded, "First, we need to figure out how many villains and hostages are inside."
Bakugo scratched his head. "Uraraka. You go," He said.
Uraraka and rest turned around, and she pointed to herself. "Me by myself?" She asked him.
"If we all run in, the villains'll notice us. But you can float up to the top window and not get caught," He said. Despite his delinquent demeanor, he was actually smart and considerate.
Uraraka nodded. "Yeah, you're right! I'm on it," She said.
Asui turned to Uraraka. "Isn't that dangerous?" She asked, worried for her friend.
"It is," Todoroki put out. "But we can distract the villains."
The group all seemed to know and trust each other so well. It made sense for them since they were all in the same class, but Motomiya couldn't help but feel left out. He decided to try and ignore his feelings and focus on the task at hand. He reminded himself that he needed to treat this training as if it were the actual thing.
"By the way, Motomiya," Midoriya started. "What's your quirk if you don't mind me asking?"
All of a sudden, he felt nervous. What if he thought his quirk was stupid? What if he decided that he would have no use with his quirk. "It's, um... It's called Text to Speech. Whatever I write down and then say can happen, but it only has a range of ten meters," He explained softly, almost mumbling it.
"Wow, that's so cool! You can take down any villains with that," Midoriya exclaimed.
At that moment, he felt the confidence exuded from Midoriya envelope him. Something about this boy was weird, yet he seemed to transfer his happiness so easily and so strongly that it felt like he could even change a villain.
He took a deep breath and then let it out. His training with class 1-A had officially begun!
