Two of the ten matches had been fought, and now they waited for who was fighting in the next match to be announced. "Hakate and Tenma, you're up," Aozora said.
A boy with light blue skin, blue hair, and a sailor suit as a costume walked into the middle of the gym as well as a boy with almost white skin, blue eyes, white hair, large white wings that could only be described as beautiful, and a hero costume of just white, flowing pants. Tenma opened his wings, the wings spanning a few meters as to hold his weight, and started to beat slowly in the air, allowing him to float just above the floor.
"Begin!"
Hakate immediately raised his hands, the moisture from the humid air thickening into multiple small streams on his fingertips. Tenma flew upward and then dove down, planning his attack. As he grew closer, Hakate unleashed the water streams and aimed for his wings, the water pressure high enough to cut right through him.
Seeing his attack, Tenma twisted midair and rolled out of the way, dodging the water. He then faced Hakate from the air, stretched his wings as far as he could, and gave a powerful flap of his wings, the wind pressure making Hakate stumble back.
Hakate was quick to respond to this attack, though. Pulling more moisture from the air, he created long tendrils of water that spewed from his hands. They grew longer and longer, each one becoming more aggressive with its long reach. Tenma saw this and flew as high as he could, almost touching the ceiling, dodging each one of the attacks by weaving around them with grace. But Hakate was relentless, continuously extending the reach of the water tendrils until one of them finally lashed out at Tenma, grabbing him by the ankle and yanking him down.
His wings were strong, though. He refused to be defeated, and with multiple powerful flaps, he broke free, and the water splashed down to the floor. Having now made a plan, he flapped his wings hard and fast, soaring through the air with such speed that it was almost a blur. Hakate looked up, unable to pinpoint his opponents location and unable to match his speed for an attack.
Suddenly, Tenma dove, his wings held tightly to his sides, the velocity making him seem like a missile. Hakate barely had time to react. He tried to create a shield of water, but it was too late. Tenma crashed into him, knocking the air out of his lungs as they both hit the floor. "I'm done," Hakate coughed.
Tenma stood up, shook his wings, and held out a hand for his classmate. Hakate wearily took his hand and pulled himself up, his body aching from the earlier impact. They then joined the rest of the class.
"Hakate, I can see that you've gotten more confident with the use of your quirk. You've certainly improved it," Aozora said. "But, you need to work on your speed. A villain isn't going to wait around for you to wind up your attack."
Hakate nodded in response.
"Tenma, your speed was on point as always, and you've definitely improved your dodging," Aozora said. "You could work on your planning, though. I noticed you didn't have one up until the last part."
"Got it," Tenma responded, examining his nails and only half paying attention.
"Alright, next up is Enjou and Daiba," Aozora announced.
A man with large muscles, black and cyan hair, freckles, and a hero costume that had blue shades, goggles sitting atop his head, a black turtleneck, a purple coat that went to the floor, and black boots walked to the middle of the gym. A short girl with black twin braids, round eyes, and a round, curvy body walked to the middle of the gym. Her costume was shades of pink and skin tight with light pink circles that varied in size.
"Begin!"
As soon as the match began, Daiba pointed to Enjou, who was running at her, and used her quirk. Materializing out of thin air in an instant was a dome that was invisible to everyone except for Enjou. He stopped running and punched the dome, trying to break free of the prison. Nothing happened. He then backed up and then threw his body at it. Nothing happened.
