Over the course of the intermission, Motomiya and Saionji ended up talking to each other for the entire duration of it, just talking about various things unrelated to heroes or the exam. Something to keep their minds off the stress of passing.

"Terrorists have launched a massive attack! There's widescale destruction throughout the city. Buildings are collapsing, and people are hurt! With most of the roads out of commission, rescue and relief squads are having a hard time reaching the scene!" The building started to unfold like the first one, the walls opening and falling flat on the ground. "Until they arrive, it's up to you heroes to take charge and rescue civilians. Save every life you can! Start!"

Almost immediately, every single one of the examinees rushed out of the area that was once a building and headed towards the city.

"I can run three times as fast," Motomiya said just after writing down the phrase. His feet sprung forward as he sprinted across the field, matching the speed of even Tenma. The people who could fly made their way to the farthest and higher parts of the arena while those on foot stuck with civilians both closer to them and on the ground.

He turned and went to the main ruins of the city. Everything was completely demolished; buildings lay on their sides, varying sizes of debris littered the ground, and the city that once stood tall lay flattened on the ground.

"Help! Help me, please!" An elderly man shouted from beneath some rubble.

He turned to where he heard the elderly man and ran to him. "I'm here! Are you okay?" He asked, knealing down to the man. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I can't feel my legs!" He yelled at him.

He stood up and looked behind the large piece of rubble. The man's lower half was obscured from his vision. "I'll get you to the first aid area as fast as I can. First, I have to get you out of here. You'll be okay, I promise," He said. He scribbled in his notebook and then opened his mouth to say, "The debris around me will turn to dust." All of the rubble and debris around him, whether on the man or not, crumbled into a fine powder. "I'm going to roll you over and then pick you up, okay?" He checked with the man.

"Fine," He said, taking some mental notes.

Motomiya rolled the man onto his back and then lifted him up into his arms. "You'll be okay. We have plenty of people here to take care of you," He said to the man.

"Hurry up! I may have a broken back for all you know!" The man yelled.

He quickly started sprinting to the first aid area that some of the examinees set up. It was clean and already full of the H.U.C. members.

"How is he?" One of the examinees working the first aid area asked him.

"He most likely has an injury to his spinal chord, a broken back, too," He told her.

"Put him in the high priority section," She told him, pointing to the area.

He nodded and did as told, setting the elderly man down carefully. As soon as he started running back to the main scene, a large, booming explosion burst through a wall. Was this part of the exam? The smoke now cleared from the area. He saw who had attacked. It was Gang Orca, the number ten hero, along with dozens of others dressed in black bodysuits with white accents. They all held some sort of weapon.

"Dealing with enemies and rescuing civilians! Can you really handle both situations?" He boomed.

"The villains have shown up, and they're on the move!" Mera said over the speakers. "You hero candidates on the scene will suppress the villain incursion all while continuing the rescue operation."
