Finn immediately got a tent out of his backpack, throwing it on the floor.

"We have to run," Monroe said, panicked.

"There's no time," he shook his head.

Once the tent was deployed, the teens all squished themselves under it, praying it would be enough to stop the acid from killing them. Aimee was against the side of the tent, Bellamy at her other side. Her heart was still pounding in her chest as she waited to see what would happen. It was the second time that day that she was playing with death. Before she could stop herself she sneaked her hand, searching for Bellamy's. He laced their fingers together, giving her hand a squeeze. She rested her forehead against his shoulder, drawing in short breaths.

After a good 20 minutes, nothing seemed to be happening. Aimee was starting to think that there was no fogg.

"How long are we supposed to wait?" Jasper spoke up, voicing everyone's thoughts.

"Will this even work?" Monroe asked.

"We'll find out," Finn said.

"Screw this," Aimee said.

Before anyone could stop her, she dipped her head outside of the tent, looking around. Bellamy mimicked her actions.
"No fog," He said.

"No fog" she repeated with a sigh.

The rest of the teenagers got their heads out as well.

"Maybe it was a false alarm," Finn suggested.

Aimee breathed in fresh air, Bellamy's hand still grasped in hers. Finn noticed and was about to say something when the older teen spoke up.

"They're coming back" he said, pointing at a Grounder who was running through the trees.

Everyone looked around, but he seemed to be alone.
"He's alone," Aimee said.

"Now can we run?" Monroe asked.

"He doesn't see us, I'm going after him" Bellamy said.

"And do what, kill him?" Finn asked.

"No, catch him" he answered "make him tell me where Octavia is, and then kill him".

With that he let go of Aimee's hand and broke into a run.

The girl didn't hesitate to follow him, while Finn cursed under his breath before running after her.

The group of teenagers followed the Grounder all the way to the entry of a cave. Bellamy stopped in front of it, turning to Aimee.

"Stay behind me" he whispered to her.

She nodded.

He took a few cautious steps into the cave, his weapon drawn. Aimee squinted her eyes as it was dark inside, and once she got used to it, she gasped. Octavia was chained to the wall of the cave, covered in dirt, a gash on her forehead.

"Octavia" Bellamy breathed out, running to his little sister.

Aimee followed him, looking around for the key. She found it on the floor and quickly picked it up and freed her. As soon as the chains were off, she threw her arms around Bellamy, and then around Aimee.

"I'm so sorry for everything" Octavia told her as buried her head in her shoulder.

"I'm sorry too," she answered.

The two girls pulled apart, tears in their eyes. Octavia then seemed to notice Jasper.

"How did you find me?" she asked, limping to the boy.
