The twins were awoken the next morning by screams. They jolted awake and ran outside, expecting the worst. And they were right to do so. Wells had been killed, slaughtered. As soon as he heard that, Finn took Aimee's hand, giving it a squeeze. The girl was so empty of emotions that she didn't cry, only mourned in silence. She and Wells had never been best friends, or even friends, but he had always tried to help everyone, and she respected him for that. After a while Finn left, probably to find Clarke, so Aimee went to find Bellamy.

She found him, as always, surveying the other delinquants as they built the wall, Murphy by his side. He hadn't given her any tasks, and even though she should've felt grateful for it, she wanted to help. His face remained cold and expressionless as he watched her walk up to him.

"what do I do?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" Bellamy replied, confused.

"For the wall, what's my task?" She insisted.

He observed her for a moment, trying to see whether she was joking or not. She maintained his gaze, showing him she wasn't. Once he got the message, he sighed and pulled her aside, away from unwanted attention and curious ears.

"You're not working on this wall," he told her.

Aimee crossed her arms on her chest.

"Why not?"

He laughed humorlessly.

"Because you don't seem really fit for it right now" he stated.

Aimee scoffed, she couldn't believe he was attacking her on her physical abilities right now.

"I have more strength than it seems" she lied.

He rolled his eyes.

"I'm not talking about that Aimee" he said "You look like hell".

"Geez, thanks, you look very charming too Bellamy" she spat.

"Jesus" he lost his patience, running his hand on his face.

"It would be easier if you stopped thinking I'm not capable of doing things" She snapped, losing her patience as well.

"I am not telling you that you are not strong enough, I'm telling you that you look exhausted and that I don't want to put anything more on your shoulder right now". He said all at once, his eyes burning holes in her head.

Aimee was speechless. She had never managed to get to Bellamy like that before, and his revelation seemed very....personal.

"I-I'm okay, I promise" she insisted.
He looked at her for a moment.

"Fine, help Murphy survey the delinquants then, if you insist" he gave up.

An adorable smile made its way on Aimee's face, and she nodded. Bellamy couldn't help but smile as well, as always. She had this effect on him, and he didn't hate it.

Aimee stood besides Murphy, watching the 100 work. Finn was getting water for the camp and Charlotte was linking two pieces of wood with some wire.

After a few hours of work, Bellamy came to check on the progress of the work.

"This section of the wall should be finished by tomorrow," he explained.

He was about to say something when he stopped. Aimee followed her gaze to see that one of the delinquants had stopped working, too tired to go on.

"Hey!" Murphy shouted, going to him "You think the grounders are just going to sit around and wait for us to finish the wall?"

Aimee heard Bellamy's sight of disapproval behind her.
