Taylor had been feeling off for a few days. Morning sickness had hit her harder than she expected, but she was determined to push through it. She didn't want Travis to worry, especially since he had a big game coming up. So, she put on her best smile and insisted she was fine, even though she knew she wasn't.

"Good morning, beautiful," Travis said as he walked into the kitchen. He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead. "How are you feeling today?"

"Morning, babe," Taylor replied, forcing a smile. "I'm fine. Just a little tired."

Travis looked at her skeptically. "You sure? You look a bit pale."

Taylor waved him off. "I'm fine, really. Just need some coffee."

She reached for the coffee pot, but a wave of nausea hit her hard. She barely made it to the sink before she started retching. Travis was by her side in an instant, holding her hair back and rubbing her back gently.

"Taylor, this is the third morning in a row," he said, worry etched on his face. "I think we need to call the doctor."

"No, no," Taylor insisted, once she caught her breath. "It's just morning sickness. I'll be fine."

Travis frowned. "Morning sickness or not, you shouldn't be this sick."

Taylor tried to stand up straight, but her legs felt like jelly. She leaned against the counter, taking deep breaths. "I promise, I'm okay."

Travis sighed, his concern deepening. "At least let me make you some tea and toast. Something light."

Taylor nodded reluctantly. "Okay. Tea sounds good."

As Travis busied himself in the kitchen, Taylor sat down at the table, trying to steady herself. She hated seeing him so worried, but she didn't want to admit how bad she really felt. She wanted to be strong for him, for their baby.

Travis set a cup of tea and a plate of toast in front of her. "Eat slowly, okay?"

"Thanks, love," Taylor said, taking a small sip of the tea. It was chamomile, her favorite. She managed a few bites of toast before the nausea started to subside.

"You're pushing yourself too hard," Travis said, sitting down next to her. "I know you want to stay strong, but you need to take care of yourself, too."

"I know," Taylor admitted, her voice soft. "I just don't want to worry you."

Travis took her hand, his eyes filled with concern. "I worry because I love you. And because I love our baby. We need to take care of you both."

Taylor felt tears prick at her eyes. She knew he was right, but it was hard to let go of her stubborn independence. "I'm sorry. I just...I hate feeling weak."

"You're not weak," Travis said firmly. "You're one of the strongest people I know. But even the strongest need help sometimes."

Taylor nodded, squeezing his hand. "Thank you. For everything."

"Always," Travis replied, leaning in to kiss her gently. "Now, how about we call the doctor? Just to be safe."

Taylor sighed but nodded. "Okay. Let's call."

Later that day, they were sitting in the doctor's office, waiting for their appointment. Taylor leaned against Travis, feeling exhausted but grateful for his support. He had insisted on coming with her, even though she told him she could manage on her own.

"Thanks for being here," she whispered.

"Always," he repeated, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "We're in this together."

The doctor called them in, and after a thorough examination, he confirmed that Taylor's symptoms were indeed due to morning sickness, but she was also slightly dehydrated. He recommended rest, plenty of fluids, and small, frequent meals.

"See? Nothing to worry about," Taylor said as they left the office.

Travis shook his head, smiling. "Still, I'm glad we came. Now we know for sure."

Over the next few days, Travis took extra care to make sure Taylor was resting and staying hydrated. He brought her water, made her favorite light meals, and kept a close eye on her. Taylor protested at first, but eventually, she gave in, realizing how much better she felt with his help.

One morning, Taylor woke up feeling a bit better. She decided to surprise Travis by making breakfast. She carefully got out of bed and headed to the kitchen, trying to move quietly so she wouldn't wake him.

She had just started making pancakes when she heard Travis's voice behind her. "What are you doing out of bed?"

Taylor turned to see him standing in the doorway, looking concerned. "I wanted to surprise you with breakfast," she said, smiling.

Travis walked over and gently took the spatula from her hand. "You should be resting."

"I'm feeling better today," Taylor insisted. "Besides, I wanted to do something nice for you."

Travis sighed, but he couldn't help but smile. "Okay. But let me help."

They worked together in the kitchen, making pancakes and bacon. It felt good to do something normal, something they enjoyed. Taylor realized how much she had missed these simple moments with Travis.

As they sat down to eat, Taylor reached across the table and took his hand. "Thank you, Travis. For taking care of me."

Travis squeezed her hand, his eyes full of love. "Always, Tay. Always."

The days turned into weeks, and Taylor's morning sickness gradually eased. She still had her rough days, but with Travis by her side, she knew she could handle anything. They faced the ups and downs of pregnancy together, their bond growing stronger with each challenge.

One evening, as they sat on the couch watching TV, Taylor leaned against Travis, feeling content. "You know, I think our baby is going to be just as stubborn as me."

Travis laughed, kissing the top of her head. "As long as they have your strength and your heart, they'll be perfect."

Taylor smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her. She knew there would be more challenges ahead, but with Travis's love and support, she felt ready for anything. They were a team, and together, they could conquer the world.

As the months passed, Taylor and Travis continued to prepare for the arrival of their baby. They decorated the nursery, attended prenatal classes, and spent as much time together as possible. Every step of the way, Travis was there, supporting Taylor and making sure she had everything she needed.

One night, as they lay in bed, Taylor felt the baby kick. She grabbed Travis's hand and placed it on her belly. "Feel that?"

Travis's eyes widened with wonder. "Wow. That's incredible."

Taylor smiled, feeling a deep sense of love and connection. "I can't wait to meet our little one."

"Me neither," Travis said, his voice full of emotion. "We're going to be amazing parents."
