Taylor and Travis had faced stadiums full of roaring fans and high-pressure moments in their careers, but nothing could have prepared them for what they had just agreed to: babysitting a small army of children for an entire day. Between Gigi's daughter Khai, Jason's three daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, and Blake's three kids James, Inez, and Betty, they were officially outnumbered.
The morning started with Taylor and Travis standing at the front door of their house as the kids were dropped off one by one. Blake and Ryan were the first to arrive, their three daughters running inside excitedly. "Good luck," Ryan Reynolds joked. "They have more energy than a stadium full of fans."
Next came Gigi with little Khai, who was clinging to her mother. "She's a little shy at first," Gigi said. "But she'll warm up soon."
Finally, Jason and Kylie Kelce pulled up with their three girls. Jason chuckled as he handed over Bennett, the youngest. "She might try to tackle you."
Travis, ever the confident athlete, grinned. "I can handle a tackle."
Once everyone was inside, Taylor decided to make breakfast, thinking pancakes would be a simple, fun idea. It quickly turned into a flour-and-syrup disaster. James and Wyatt were on stirring duty but ended up flinging pancake batter everywhere. Inez decided she wanted to add rainbow sprinkles to everything, including Travis's coffee. Meanwhile, Betty and Khai were more interested in eating the toppings straight from the bowl.
Travis stood by, watching in amusement as Taylor attempted to gain control of the situation. "Babe, I think this is a losing battle."
Taylor groaned. "I sing for thousands of people, but I can't even manage a pancake breakfast."
Travis kissed her forehead. "You're doing great, sweetheart."
In the end, they settled for slightly burnt pancakes and a whole lot of laughter.
After breakfast, the kids wanted to play outside. Travis, being the playful giant that he was, decided to organize a game of touch football. "Alright, team Kelce versus team Swift!"
Khai and Betty clung to Taylor's side while James, Wyatt, and Elliotte eagerly joined Travis. Bennett, the smallest of the group, simply ran around giggling. The game started off smoothly until Inez decided that tackling was allowed and launched herself at Travis's leg.
Taylor burst out laughing as Travis stumbled slightly. "I think we've got a future linebacker in the making."
After about an hour of running around, everyone was exhausted, except for the kids, who somehow still had boundless energy.
Convinced that the kids needed a nap, Taylor and Travis set up a cozy space in the living room with blankets, stuffed animals, and soft music playing. "Alright, everyone, nap time!" Taylor announced.
The kids stared at her blankly before bursting into laughter. "Nap time?" Wyatt asked. "We're not babies."
Travis raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Well, I guess that means no bedtime stories."
That changed everything. The kids immediately grabbed blankets and snuggled in, demanding a story. Taylor sat in the middle, with Khai curled up next to her. She started reading a fairytale, but halfway through, she looked up to find Travis had fallen asleep, too.
She nudged him. "I said nap time for the kids, not for you."
Travis peeked one eye open and grinned. "I was just testing it out."
Once everyone was up, Taylor set up an arts and crafts station, thinking it would be a relaxing activity. That was until James and Wyatt decided to turn it into a face-painting contest. Within minutes, Travis had a blue streak across his cheek, and Taylor had pink swirls on her arms.
"Well, at least it's washable," Taylor laughed.
"I think I look good in blue," Travis said, admiring his reflection.
"I think you look like a Smurf," Taylor teased.
As the day wound down, Taylor and Travis set up a movie night with popcorn and cozy blankets. The kids snuggled up next to them as they watched a Disney movie. Khai, now completely comfortable, curled up in Taylor's lap, while Betty and Inez took turns braiding Taylor's hair.
Travis looked over at Taylor, his heart full. "You know, we might just be really good at this."
Taylor smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "Yeah, I think so too."
By the time the parents came to pick up their kids, the house was a mess, but Taylor and Travis wouldn't have had it any other way. As Jason picked up his girls, he smirked. "So, when are you two having kids of your own?"
Travis wrapped an arm around Taylor and grinned. "Give us some time, big guy."
As the door closed behind the last parent, Taylor and Travis collapsed onto the couch, exhausted but happy. Travis pulled her close and kissed the top of her head. "I'd do it all over again with you."
Taylor smiled sleepily. "Me too."
