𝙀𝙇𝙇𝙄𝙀 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝘾𝙆𝙀𝘿 𝘼𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝙊𝙊𝙍 𝙊𝙁 Maria's house, Blake leaned on the wall beside the door, arms crossed waiting for the woman to open the door. Nobody answered the door and Ellie shrugged pushing the wooden door open.
"Hello?Maria?" Ellie called out as the two of them moved to the living room. They stood in front of the fireplace looking at the little memorial with two names Kevin and Sarah. The doors opened and there comes Maria with two jackets in her arms.
"Oh, good." She closed the door and came towards the two teens. "Just traded for this. Go ahead, try it on." The woman, Maria gave Ellie a purple jacket while Blake got a dark green military jacket. "Thanks Maria" Blake thanked the woman and tried the jacket on, it fit perfectly.
"It's, uh, super fuckin' purple." Ellie said looking at the woman after she put the jacket on. "Eggplant. It fits?" Maria asked and Ellie nodded "Yeah." Blake chucked
"Shoes aren't too big?" Maria asked both of the girls and they shook their heads "Uh, no." "They're good" Ellie looked at Blake "why did she get a normal coloured jacket?" Blake chuckled and Maria slightly laughed "sorry Ellie, I was only able to find these two"
Ellie sighed and shrugged "Where's my other stuff?" The older woman looked at both teens "Rag pile. Did you two get the things I left you?" Blake nodded and thanked the woman once more "Yeah.Weirdest gift ever." The older girl shook her head "it's useful Ellie" Maria agreed with the tall girl and smiled at them.
"Who's been cutting your hair?" Ellie rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders "Uh, world-class salons." Blake sighed and looked at the woman "I haven't cut my hair in a while" the woman smiled brightly and chuckled "Let me get my scissors."
"Oh, whoa, no. I'm..."
"Trim. That's all. Just the ends, I promise." Maria answered the girl and went to grab her scissors. Blake looked at the mirror and then at her hair. Maria came back and pulled out a chair. Blake made Ellie go first, Ellie groaned and flipped the taller girl off making her chuckle.
"Was this your job back then or something?" Blake asked the woman from the couch and Maria chuckled cutting the ends of Ellie's hair. "No, I was an Assistant District Attorney out of Omaha, Nebraska.I put bad guys in jail." Blake nodded impressed "That's cool."
Maria smiled looking in between the two teens. "I always liked doing hair, though. Maybe it was a mom thing. You were looking at the little memorial Tommy made?" Blake and Ellie both nodded their heads "Uh, yeah.I'm sorry about your kids." Ellie mumbled and Blake nodded her head with a little sad smile.
