Cage

182 20 26

Our will subsisting drought
For the kingdom they sought

Locomotive fire
Obsess and Oppress
All aboard

A vision we hoard

Twas once of pickets and dress
Sloth and Self
To augment our oppress

Collapse we lust for
Has uprising become a chore?

Free and Form
Not as bisecting wings
Sings the cardinal cooped in cage

Rings from cleansing spirit souped in sage
Rue and Rage

To write another page?
I've become a laze
A haze from this cage

This poem has lost it's form
As to be free
To chant in the storm

Can we see?
Clouds shine sunbeams

To be
Can we?
