Steel Make. She was a huge bird-like monster with steel wings. Her appearance resembled that of a hawk. With a body large enough to carry several grown men, her wingspan was nothing short of amazing.
She was very angry as she flew down in front of Lee Suhyuk. To Steel Make, the person Lee Suhyuk was carrying looked like a humanoid monster. The humanoid monster seemed to understand what they were saying, but there had been clever monsters who could see the other person's appearance, understand the situation, and use it to their advantage.
And the man holding the monster was the one she was protecting. Because her "younger brother" adored him as an older brother.
Steel Make shouted. "Lee Suhyuk, what are you doing! Let the humanoid monster go right now. I'll trample it down!" As she said, she stomped her feet threateningly.
The ground Lee Suhyuk was standing on shook violently. He tried his best to hold on to his feet to endure the shaking. He held the elf girl, who was only lightly supporting her on one of his arms, tightly so as not to drop her to the ground.
She was really small and light.
Thinking of rambling things, Lee Su-hyuk looked up at Steel Make with his feet planted firmly. She spread her huge wings in an indignant manner. He could tell she was being intimidating. It's not just about the elf in his arms. He was being intimidated too.
At that moment, the elf girl in his arms moved. She pushed against Lee Su-hyuk's chest, as if trying to escape from his arms.
"It's okay," Lee Suhyuk told her. "I'll explain her. You're not a monster."
"I am a monster here." It was a matter-of-fact voice.
Lee Su-hyuk flinched. The tone of her voice reminded him of a familiar figure. He was still by Lee Su-hyuk's side, but at the same time, he remembered the person who had left Lee Su-hyuk's side. His very simple tone, which seemed to have some kind of insight into something, sometimes is on the surface of his impolite expression, reminding people of his strong personality. Even before it seemed like a long time ago, Lee Su-hyuk always tried to correct him, to let the people around him know that there was more to him. But in the end, he overcame it on his own. The number of people who knew his true nature easily exceeded Lee Su-hyuk's concerns.
"Please put me down."
"...Don't worry about it. You may be a monster, but you're not just that."
If the huge bird-like monster standing in front of him is not an enemy, then there must be other monsters that are not enemies. She is one of them.
The elf girl sighed. And the next moment, a strong wind blew towards Lee Su hyuk's back. It was a strong wind pressure aimed at one point. Lee Su-hyuk was choked by the sudden attack from behind. The wind hit Lee Su-hyuk's back, hard on the top of his lungs, but he wasn't blown away. The wind hitting his chest prevented him from falling forward.
Lee Su-hyuk let out a deep breath. At the same time, the arms that were restraining the girl relaxed. She used the opportunity to quickly escape from Lee Su-hyuk's arms.
Katerina looked up at Steel Make. Steel Make's steel wings were shining a dark light in the sunlight. His hawk-like form was dignified and endlessly graceful. His appearance was certainly that of a monster, but at the same time he possessed a strange beauty.
"...it's just like a knight dressed up in steel armor."
To Katerina who whispered as if chanting, Steel Make snorted heavily.
"What a fool. If you have any respect for me, then leave now. I'll let you off the hook for Lee Suhyuk's sake."
"I'm sorry, but I think that's pointless."
