Choi Jeongsu woke up when dawn broke before. Kim Roksu returned to their room with Choi Jeongsu, and he was relaxing there. And early that morning, she visited their room.
"Kim Roksu, Choi Jeongsu. Would you like to go to Jirisan with me?"
Katerina's smile was so merciful and like to clear.
And.
The sky was whiter than blue as dawn had just broken. And there was no one at the watchtower.
Kim Roksu was wearing a thick jacket for going out and a scarf around his neck. In contrast, Choi Jeongsu was dressed casually. His jacket was short, and his sword was exposed.
The three of them went up to the watchtower together, but Katerina didn't say a word during that time. They followed without saying anything. And when they reached the watchtower, Choi Jeongsu looked around busily.
"Where's Steel Make?"
Choi Jeongsu thought that if they were going to Jirisan, they would naturally ride on Steel Make's back. But she was not there at the watchtower. Then, Kim Roksu, who hadn't said anything up until then but was looking around, said one word.
"What are you going to do?"
A wand appeared in Katerina's hand. She held it, which looking like platinum-colored metal, up high and said.
"I'm going to jump."
And then, in one go, a platinum light erupted from the wand. Overwhelmed by the light, the three of them stood in a circle with mysterious letters rotating.
"...Magic circle...?"
Kim Roksu muttered, and Katerina answered with a smile.
"It's a teleportation magic circle. We'll teleport to Jirisan from here."
Ignoring their stunned reactions, Katerina just muttered incomprehensible words. At that moment, their vision was enveloped in a platinum light. And after what seemed to them a long time, they were released from the vortex of light.
At that moment, they heard a high-pitched roar right next to them. Choi Jeongsu turned around and saw a monster just a few meters away. The monster, much taller than Choi Jeongsu, raised its front legs in a bouncy motion. Choi Jeongsu instinctively reached for his sword, but the monster swung its front legs back and forth in a panic. Then it turned around and ran away as fast as it could.
Choi Jeongsu could only be shocked. He stared blankly at the monster desperately fleeing, then hurriedly looked back at his companions.
Kim Roksu was frowning, while Katerina was standing there smiling.
Kim Roksu looked around the area, then finally turned his eyes to Katerina.
"Weren't you hesitant to use your magic? If you run out of magic, you die, right?"
"I'll never run out of magic here. Because the Mana is gushing out everywhere."
"So you're here? Did you come to replenish your mana?"
"That's also fine, isn't it. But I want to talk to you guys about something important, so I moved to a location where it was easier for people who could help me to work. That's the reason I came here."
"Something important?"
"Yes. Now, let's prepare the place."
A place?
Kim Roksu frowned. This place looked like just a small opening in the forest. What kind of place was this going to become?
She picked up her wand again. But this time she didn't hold it high, but instead held it in both hands in front of her chest as if praying.
