Kim Roksu looked up at the sky, which was a fine day today, with no thin clouds. However, he thought it was strange to be left waiting alone outside in this cold season. Even if he was acting alone, it didn't mean that the others were allowed to be late. He was gazing blankly at the blue sky seen from the watchtower with an irritated expression.
Then.
"Hey, happy 21st birthday."
Kim Roksu heard a carefree voice. He replied to the voice.
"If it's a New Year's celebration, it was when we contacted last time."
"Oh, is that so? How long has it been already?"
"It's already been 10 days over."
"I see. But once again, happy new year."
"To you too."
Kim Roksu had no choice but to reply, 'To you too.' It's not that he felt bad about the words to celebrate the new year. He just felt cold outside.
"Also alone?"
Kim Roksu finally looked at the source of the voice when he heard the voice ask so. A person was reflected in the Orb.
Cale Henituse.
The redhead man was pale again. His cheeks were not sunken, but he looked thin overall. And his background was as gorgeous as always. However, like the last time they contacted him, the background was different from before. He seems to be still traveling around.
"This time, we're all going to get together. But, as we're not all working alone, so it's inevitable that we'll be a little late."
"Are you the only one on time?"
"It's just that I work alone. And if I'm not on time as the one with the Orb, the others won't be able to contact you."
"I see."
Cale nodded with amusement. He didn't seem to believe Kim Roksu's story at all. However, Kim Roksu didn't mind. It was true that he found it easy to work alone. And it's not like he wasn't working either.
"So, is Katerina doing well?"
Cale finally got to the point. The reason he's contacting this world is to make sure Katerina is doing okay. However, the last time he contacted Katerina, she prioritized her work at the shelter, and she didn't show up to join the meeting until well after the appointed time.
Kim Roksu remembered her running into the room out of breath. However, at that time, only Kim Roksu and Katerina were able to respond to the meeting. Kim Roksu had had time to have a proper talk with Cale about the meeting with the Spirit King that had just taken place, but it was clear that they had strayed from their original purpose.
"She's doing well... or rather," Kim Roksu stopped speaking. There was something that had been bothering him about Katerina. This was his second meeting with Cale. The next meeting would be the last. That meant that on that day, Katerina would gone home to the planet where Cale was. There were only 10 days left until that day.
"I think she's very desperate."
Kim Roksu looked at Cale in the Orb again. He looked relaxed in the Orb. He should definitely be me, but he had completely changed from Kim Roksu's appearance.
"We met with the Spirit King ten days ago. Ten days before that, Katerina started learning Hangeul. And in ten more days, she will go home to your planet. ... I think her workload is extraordinary."
Kim Roksu thinks that just by giving us the opportunity to communicate with the spirits, Katerina has brought about a great change in this shelter. Having discovered the secret of the shelter, encouraging communion with the spirits may have been one way for her to repay the shelter. However, now, in addition to interacting with the spirits, she is also making a great contribution to the excavation and recording of those who possess magical powers.
