Kim Rok-su and Choi Jeong-su tried to get to Katerina's place, but it was a little difficult short trip. She had made her base on the top floor of the building where they had first approached the crater with Kim Rok-su. Of course, it was also the place where Steel Make had taken off just a moment ago.
Kim Rok-su and the others had to walk to the location, which could have been reached in just one minute by riding on Steel Make's back. Walking was fine, but the problem was how to get to the top floor of the building.
The route to that place, which is also the base of operations, is secured. However, there was a risk of the building collapsing inside, so a rope ladder was hung on the wall. It was a six-story rope ladder. There was a board for the landing every two floors, but when they tried to climb up the rope ladder, they were called out, "Commander, I'll climb the ladder with you on my back!"
The muscular soldier seemed to be full of goodwill, but Kim Rok-su politely declined.
Ignoring Choi Jeong-su, who was clutching his stomach and shaking with his shoulders, Kim Rok-su quickly climbed up the rope ladder. Taking a break on a board along the way, he safely climbed up the rope ladder on the wall. By the time of his second break, Choi Jeong-su had caught up with him, close at hand.
He safely reached the top of the roof. If he had any regrets, it was that he had exhausted all the strength in his arms, legs, and waist and was unable to kick Choi Jeong-su off the roof, who had climbed up so easily.
They approached Katerina's lab. Most of the rubble had been removed from the dilapidated top floor, spreading a large space. There they found Steel Make, Mister Rabbit, Katerina, and several other people. The people were crowded around a lantern placed on a small, makeshift desk. They were holding boards with papers stuck in them in their hands, and seemed to be having some kind of discussion.
There were also several bonfires, so it was bright and warm.
As Kim Rok-su and the others approached, Katerina looked up before they calling out. She also seemed to be writing something on a piece of paper. She was holding a board in her hands.
"Welcome, Kim Rok-su. And Choi Jeong-su."
"So you are OK that the experiment was a success, don't you?"
"Of course. We've already seen some results."
Kim Rok-su didn't even greet her, but Katerina got straight to the point too. The people who noticed Kim Rok-su got a bit restless for a moment, but they quickly shut up and began to focus on what was in front of them. This was a satisfactory environment for Kim Rok-su.
Katerina handed the board she was holding to Kim Rok-su. It had a simplified picture of a monster on it. A bird's-eye view from the top floor. A view from the side. A view from directly above. The view from the side showed the underground, and the view from directly above had concentric circles.
"We have identified the various locations inside the A Monster. As for the B Monster, the ones we expected came out as expected, but we are still observing it. And, as for the request from Miss Ki Hi-ran, we have almost reached a conclusion, so I will report to you on that first."
"Eh?" Kim Rok-su blurted out. "Why do you report to me a request of Ki Hi-ran?"
"It's an important matter regarding the B Monster. It's also something that will be necessary if we are to make plans to develop this area in the future."
"In the future... what about the monster in front of us now?"
"Of course, it's also a story about the monster in front of us right now."
