"Don't you think it's terrible to wake up expectantly to find two guys there?"
Bae Pullum frowned in confusion, and Kim Min-ah completely looked away and ignored him. Still, he's not the kind of man to be bothered by something so trivial.
Today was also a sunny day under the winter sky. This spot with a view of the sky was part of the training ground on the first floor. Four-fifths of the tennis court-sized site was made of stone, the rest was bare earth. There were three people there: Choi Jeongsu, Bae Pullum, and Kim Min-ah.
They were supposed to have gathered for training, but for some reason Choi Jeongsu's frivolous talk had begun.
"As I started to become conscious, I felt something lightly resting on top of my futon. This is exactly what that situation is like, right? You open your eyes and you're like, 'Yes, it's there!', right?"
"Erm, so Mr. Choi Jeongsu is a romantic, isn't he?"
"That's Hyung, isn't it?"
"Ah, yes... Hyung."
The words 'Hyung' sounded completely lethargic, but Choi Jeongsu grinned.
"You'd expectations something, wouldn't you? When that situation comes along."
"That...?"
Bae Pullum thought for a moment. In this case, it would be Kim Min-ah who would be there. When he thought that, the words came out naturally from his mouth.
"No, I don't think that's the case."
As soon as Bae Pullum said that, Kim Min-ah's head turned around so hard it almost made a grating noise. But he continued speaking in a flat tone.
"So that means the person at my bedside is sad, right?"
"...Of course."
"Well after all, that's not going to happen. There can't be a situation where someone is sad because of me."
"Even so..."
When Choi Jeongsu hesitated, Bae Pullum spoke firmly.
"If such a terrible situation happens, I will run away. I'll run away quickly. Of course Kim Min-ah will be there. I'll run away with her. So there's no situation where she'll be sad at my bedside."
Bae Pullum answered confidently. Choi Jeongsu was astounded by his attitude, but slightly behind him, Kim Min-ah's face was red.
In the training ground, there were several other groups training separately, and they could hear their conversation. At first they were amused, but then they got fed up.
But Choi Jeongsu and Bae Pullum' nonsense stopped there. The door opened, and Lee Suhyuk appeared. From behind him, Kim Roksu followed.
Lee Suhyuk looked around the training ground. Kim Roksu went to a place where the ground was exposed and took off the backpack he was carrying.
"Oh, what's that?"
Choi Jeongsu asked Kim Roksu, but he didn't pay any attention to Choi Jeongsu's question and took out a soil board with an earth spirit in it and a stack of papers that looked like documents from his backpack.
Choi Jeongsu frowned at Kim Roksu who continued working silently and looked at Lee Suhyuk.
"I'm sorry, but this place will be closed for a few days. Train somewhere else."
Lee Suhyuk said apologetically, and the people in the training ground tilted their heads.
From Kim Roksu's behavior, it seemed like they were holding some kind of meeting or processing paperwork here, but this was a training ground. If they were holding a meeting or organizing documents, there would be a room for that on a higher floor. I don't understand the point of doing something like that in a place like this.
