Aftermath

It was now abandoned...

Everyone that was in the village either died or ran away from the village, leaving me and my brother alone.

As I farmed out the potatoes on my own, I felt depressed, alone and defenceless after what happened.

After the morning of doing other people's jobs instead of mine, I slumped back home to cook the potatoes I farmed.

I looked out the window helplessly and was shocked to see a lone Vindicator wandering around!

It hasn't had standard clothing like the others. Instead, it had a brown shirt and green trousers with brown boots.

I got my iron axe, and as I got closer, I saw that the Vindicator had thrown a potion of weakness at the zombie villager.

The zombie villager groaned in pain before the Vindicator gave him a golden apple before chopping the fence down, letting the zombie villager past and put back the fence where it was before walking away.

I was going to follow him on what he would do next, but then I heard the sound of a villager who's back to normal as if nothing ever happened, so I left him alone.

I ended up making both him and I a secure area that not only prevents hostile mobs from getting there but also prevents creepers from exploding at a close range.

As I built this safe area, I wondered if my brother would be cured.

So I got inside of my house in front of what used to be my room and opened the iron door thanks to a wooden button for a moment whilst getting in before the door closed.

And was face to face with my zombie brother. I got my splash potion of weakness and golden apples at the ready.

He slugs towards me, I throw the splash potion.

He groaned from the weakness, I shoved a golden apple down his throat.

Cracks were being healed, and...

"Sister?" He said in a deathly groan.

And the cure didn't work well. Why?!?

I felt defeated, It was the only cure I knew that was to turn my brother back to normal, but instead, I ended up coming out of the door crying and left the village to a nearby desert where I was sitting on my own.

I was all alone. Just like the first time, I spawned when it was night, and my adoptive parents saved me from that zombie that they tried to cure.

I was reunited by my own birth brother when it was daytime the next day. By that point, we both became inseparable for a few years until he started training to be a defender of the village, while I became a miner and builder of the village.

But we stayed together mutually until today. Though there was no way I could cure my brother or even figure out what to do.

But I was wrong.

At that point, a drowned appeared with a tritant and began swimming up to me!

I yelped. Fell on the floor and move backwards. The drowned had a full Diamond armour set with green Wayfinder trim on his helmet. He got out the water and...

The Drowned: "Hi, I'm Gary, and I'm a Drowned." It spoke in a normal voice.

I was shocked.

Gary the Drowned: "What, you never heard a zombie talk before?"

I nodded side to side.

Gary the Drowned: "Well, some zombies talk. Anyway, I used to be a zombie before I turned to a drowned. It was a simple life for me. Once it was dark, I would walk around a little bit, make some noise, and terrorise the local villagers."

Me: "Are you insane in enjoying that?"

Gary: "Well, not when the sun comes up, so I'm having to go under a tree so I didn't bust into flames, but that's a long story for another time."

A sound of a spoilt female zombie laughed at the drowned who doesn't have helmets to protect themselves from sunlight.

Gary: "That's lizzy. She was born with a helmet, so she just can't help but rub it in whilst the rest of us are having to hide from the sun."

Lizzy: "Oh dear, looks like you have to stay in the water because of the sun -"

I took off her helmet without attacking and jumped over the drowned. I thought the drowned would attack me, but they glanced for a moment and chuckled.

Lizzy checked her head to see if she had her helmet removed, then!
Lizzy: "Aaarrggghhh!!" As she busts into flames...
