Zombie slayer: A Minecraft story

Chapter 20

The audience and the three of us were anticipating what Wizard was going to release as the final hostile wave.

Zennor: "Do you think he's going to make the Wither, because I heard that he usually has a Wither to make it part of the final hostile wave in his fighting events, and can protect the audience from its attacks."

Me: "I would think so because there would be no way to get an ender dragon fitted in fighting events unless it was held in the end where it usually spawns."

Tonji: "Or he could be unleashing every type of non-boss hostile mobs for us to fight?"

So after a minute, Wizard got to the glass platform and spoke, "Well there audience, it has been really fun seeing all the action, skills and bravery that those three have done to get to the final wave. So for your final wave..."

The audience was roared from quietly to loudly.

"... You will be facing against..."

I looked up, Herobrine was sitting pretty with what they had discussed earlier.

The audience roared at their loudest.

"... The..."

The darkness then came over to the three of us. We couldn't even see the audience,
Herobrine or Wizard.

"Warden..." Finished Wizard before Herobrine started laughing evilly.

the shrieker went off.

Then came a squelching noise.

A single arm popped up from the ground.

The other arm appears and grips to the ground.

It pulls itself up to reveal a head that is disgusting and horrifying.

The arms continue to pull as they reveal a body with white ribs, dark blue souls, and bulky mass.

That was then we quickly set up traps whilst we had little time left as he finally got out its legs.

We finished building the traps when the warden began to sniff.

We sneak away from the warden as it steps over a pressure plate. Four dispensers, one on each side, fired a total of 40 arrows.

The warden bent its back, threw its arms back, and roared in annoyance.

It reactions were quicker than what the arrows could fire as the warden smashed up the first dispenser.

Then the second.

Then the third.

Then when the last dispenser shot the last arrow that would have killed the warden if it kept still.

The last dispenser then got destroyed, leaving the warden to find us.

We had to remain silent because the warden could hear and feel vibrations from what he placed, ran to, spoke, and even what we dropped.

As we placed a bell, Redstone, and a torch, the warden went over to the sound of the bell to investigate.

We snuck away from the warden as it continues to head towards the ringing bell.

The warden investigates before it bent its back, threw its arms back, and roared a bit louder this time before it destroyed the bell powered by Redstone.

It then gotten ambushed by a firework dispenser that we set up while it was distracted.

The warden roared louder and curled itself.

Zennor whispered to us, "What is he doing?"

That was when we realised too late that the warden used a charged supersonic sound beam to send the firework dispenser flying...

... With one final stray shot...

... That got hit...

... To me...

... Which the warden heard!

The warden then ran for me.

I fired a few arrows...

... All of them missed...

... Then the warden got me...

And sent me to the caged spectator room as a watch hopelessly.

Tonji stabbed the warden a couple of times with his sword...

... The warden also killed him.

And so, Zennor was left, alone and afraid with his head on the floor.

The warden then sniffed again for several seconds before heading over to Zennor.

The warden then got both arms in the air to deliver a killing blow...

... Which Zennor...

... Hit the warden's face with an enchanted mace!

This sent the warden crashing to a wall, with it touching its head, groaning for a moment.

The warden then went after Zennor.

The warden tried to hit Zennor with its left arm.
Zennor hit the warden's left arm.

The warden tried to get the right arm to hit Zennor.

Zennor hit the right arm.

The warden tried to headbutt Zennor.

But Zennor managed to use a wind charge he was saving from earlier...

... And got the warden killed!

It was a close call, but against all the odds, we had managed to defeat thirteen hostile waves in Wizard's arena.

The audience was clapping, cheering, and chanting. "Zombie slayer! Zombie slayer!"

The only people who weren't happy were Tata, who left in a huff earlier, and Herobrine, who was angry with our achievement, though, as Wizard got to the glass platform.

"Well... That was an unexpected twist in the end, but the contenders have won the fighting event all whilst co-hosted by the one legend who bet they'll lose but was wrong... Herobrine!"

There was a mixture of clapping and booing at Herobrine as Herobrine looked down, both embarrassed and angry.

"And so, for you forefit, you are barred from attacking processing players and ancient builders for the next 100 days. Now, do run along before I used magic specifically designed against you." Said Wizard.
So Herobrine teleported away with a bad attitude, whilst the rest of the audience left, satisfied with what they had watched.

The door that went we through to enter the arena opened, and the three of us left the arena.

We were now in Wizard's living room, where Phaethon came over.

Phaethon: "You were amazing in the fighting event. How did you manage to get a living zombie to help?"

I said to Phaethon, "He is my brother, who was a defender of a large and unique village next to a swamp, plains, and a woodland forest. That was until a zombie siege turned him into a zombie and destroyed nearly all the village."
"Oh... I'm sorry for what happened." Phaethon said sadly.

Tonji: "That's OK because we are finding a cure to turn me back to normal again!"

Phaethon was shocked.

Phaethon: "What? But no one has ever found a cure for pure zombie, not to mention that Jude and his private army rule the server!"

Wizard: "Which is why I have Herobrine to make a bet that you three would lose, and the forefit would be to not directly attack or influence players by percussion for 100 days."

Wizard had seemingly come out of nowhere to talk to us.
Zennor asked, "So if you had not brought Herobrine to the fighting event, then what would potentially happen?"

Wizard signed, "He would have taken you to his world, Aether, and trapped you there so he could kill you two and controlled Tonji. But I don't hold a grudge against you."

I asked him, looking for a reasonable answer.

Wizard said sunberly, "I was foretold that one day, an ancient builder would become a player. A player who would find a cure for zombies and bring unity in a massive part of the server."

Me: "Well, I'm not a player, I am just an ordinary ancient builder who wants to live in a dangerous but beautiful world. But in my first adventure beyond my comfort zone, events would force not just my hands but others too."

Wizard smiled, "Well you'll never know what will eventually happen because I was foretold of my death, whatever will cause it. So I won't live to see what you will accomplish... Now... Let's get you to the nether."

So Wizard took is to his nether portal where the anti-Herobrine magic shield was turned off, but the portal had the normal purple swirling.

Wizard: "I wish you good luck to you all." As he showed us the portal.

Phaethon: "Well, farewell, Zombie slayer, and I hope to see you at a future part of this story, preferably in the ending of the story."

Me: "We don't know what you mean, but yeah, sure thing."

Me, Tonji, and Zennor got netherite armour around our bodies, except for the head, we all needed the space to use mending II, protection V, and unbreaking V enchanted
golden helmet.

And so walking into the portal, we look back at Wizard and Phaethon, who smiled and waved before we disappeared into the nether...

Meanwhile...

Tata had met back Jude, who Tata was absolutely furious with herself.
Tata: "Look, Jude, you heard what happened, I had lost in the next to last wave that the Wizard said not to directly attack anyone!"

Jude said calmly, "Look, I know it happens to the best of us, just maybe keep training with the Create+ robots that our chief scientist made."

This only made Tata even more angry.

Tata: "You know what, **** this, I resign!"

And with that, Tata slams her membership book and leaves in a huff.

As she walked her way home, she was suddenly blinded by darkness.

"Huh? Who are you? What are you doing here? Why do you need me?!"

???: "You want to get revenge on the Zombie slayer and her friends..."

A warden with white eyes came into view of Tata.

"... Right?" Said the warden...
