Chapter 8

Help they don't want, be needed

We ran as fast as we could through the mineshaft that was part of the spider queen's base.

Zennor asked, "Why would you try to cure your brother while no one ever knew how to cure a normal zombie?"

Every word Zennor took while running was exhausting him, even with a good amount of stamina.

I said to Zennor while taking more breaths, "So my brother...[Heavily breathing]... Can live a normal life agai-."

The both of us were stopped by Tonji's rotting arms, stopping us from running into what we didn't think was possible.
There were people armed with the same poisoned-tipped diamond swords that the spider queen, all unarmoured and with cave spiders controlling the people.

The people chanted mindlessly, "Arvy Mafura, we are prepared to fight for you." Before they charged at us.

I used the lava bucket to prevent the mind controlled players from reaching us before we took another route.

For some strange reason, there were signs in a different language I couldn't understand, but thanks to my brother who said that they were in the japanese language, we were able to get to the redstone entrance where Zennor claimed was the secret entrance was when...

The mind controlled people from earlier mined through a nearby stone wall on the right and blocked our only escape route.

"Nice try." went a hissing female voice.

It was Mafura, the spider queen who was being carried by an enderman controlled by a regular spider.

"I do have to admit that the explosion was a surprise, BUT TRY TO... [PAINFUL HISS]  ARGH! BUT TRY TO ESCAPE!? THAT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE."

She got out a head similar to Herobrine.

She hissed quietly to us, "Time... to die!"

She throws the head and...

...Didn't do anything.

"Why didn't it do anything?" She hissed angrily before having another headache.

The spider controlled enderman shrugged and spoke distortingly backwards. "No idea."

Zennor got out a pointed dripstone and threw it at the regular spider controlling the enderman.

"LOOK DOWN!!!" Zennor shouted as he ducks down. My brother and I did the same.

The enderman gained some control back and moaned angrily as it took the spider off its head and smashed it to a nearby stone wall, killing it.
It then opened its mouth angrily and stared down at Mafura, who had just recovered from her latest headache and stared at the enderman before she realised that she was in big trouble.

She hissed soberly before she said, "Nice enderman."

The enderman brutally attacked Mafura, and then the mind controlled people then decided to help save their mistress, Mafura, instead of us.

So while they grouped up to kill the enderman, Zennor pushed a button that opened the redstone door and rushed out into the large area of torches we rushed earlier.

I put the water on to the exposed redstone wiring above the door just as Mafura ran towards us with fury

Mafura hit the water and loudly hissed as the door shut on her.

We were now outside, and we were greeted by the sunrise. A sunrise that made us grateful that we were still alive.

We knew we couldn't stay there for another minute, so we got all our gear, made sure we have everything we need, and nothing we don't and made our way deep into the meadow...
