As much as Hanni and Minji longed to make a run for their private house on the beach, they couldn't deprive their friends and family of the lavish party that had been planned for after the wedding. They all made their way down from the mountain top on the small hovercrafts to a pavilion near the shoreline. The open space was merely a large roof with open sides and beach sand as the floor, covered in arrays of white flowers.

Once everyone arrived, Hanni took time thank everyone for being there and talk about why it was so important

"I want to thank everyone here for sharing this best day with us. You all just dropped everything to be here with us, no questions asked, and it means the world to me. Some of you may not know why it felt important to me to do this before...before our physical bonding. It's a tradition that was important to my birth family. It was never something I thought a lot about, since I lost them at such a young age. And I think also because I never really imagined that finding a soulmate and bonding was in the cards for me. And then when I realized it was, well. I also realized I wanted to have this wedding first, to honor them. To remember them and have them be a part of this magical day in some way. Since they are no longer with us in the physical realm, this was a way to connect with them and make them a part of this new life we are starting together. So thank you all. And thanks to Minji for her patience!"

They all laughed at that and toasted, which was followed by a round of toasts from almost everyone present before Hanni and Minji took off their shoes, and started things off with a slow dance on the beach to "At Last" by Etta James. Minji had once confessed that it made her feel like it was written about how Hanni made her feel, even though it was written over 80 years earlier. Halfway through, other couples began joining them and swayed together nearby. Hanni teared up when she realized that Danielle and Haerin, and Yunjin and Kai had even convinced Sana to join on the dance floor. She felt her heart might burst with happiness.

When the song ended, Hanni snuck over to the DJ and pleaded that there be no more slow dances. She needed to move and stay out of Minji's arms or she wouldn't survive the party for long. They began to invite curious and friendly people who happened to be walking along the beach, because they couldn't dream of eating all the amazing food, not to mention Hanni's policy was firmly in the "the more the merrier" when it came to dancing.

Two hours later when the party was really ramping up, the brides slipped away. They knew everyone would understand that it was time for them to be alone. They walked along at the edge of crashing waves, hand in hand until they reached their small beach house, tucked up into trees near the shore. Hanni briefly took in the few but luxurious rooms before turning back to Minji. Normally she would have taken time to look around and be awed, but not tonight.

"It's beautiful..." But before she could say more Minji had locked the door and wrapped her up tight. The feeling soothed her, and she at last knew she could stop fighting her reaction to her steadily increasing hormones. It had been 24 hours since she took a suppressant and she was ready to let her body be in charge.

"Yesss." She sighed into Minji's ear as she returned the favor. Now they were wrapped in each other's arms and nothing else mattered.

"That was the best...and longest...day of my life!" Hanni exclaimed.

"Me too." Minji smiled into the side of Hanni's face. "I can't believe we did it! We're finally done..."

"Oh, we're nowhere near done." Hanni said in a low voice.

"Hmmm. No. Not even close." Minji eased her hands down Hanni's back and over her ass. "How are those KCorp temps treating you?"

"Well and truly out of my system now." Hanni said, licking a long stroke up the side of Minji's neck with her tongue. "You taste delicious. In case you were wondering."
