That evening, Felipe with the help of Albert and Charlie prepared the cave to host the crew that would escort the guests to Gabriela's meeting. There were some chairs, food, and beverages.

Anne was the first to come, her men carried her boat inside the cave and stayed there with Felipe, Anne went upstairs to the house, and there, she was escorted to the cellar where Gabriela was anxiously waiting. Not long after her, Captain Drake arrived, his men carried his boat inside the cave, and he was told to go to the house, he climbed the stairs and went to the house, and Catalina escorted him to the cellar. Gabriela introduced them and they all sat down at a table that was in the middle of the cellar.

On the beach, in the cove an unexpected guest arrived, Captain Jack Sparrow arrived with Mr. Gibbs and some other men. He asked to see Gabriela. Felipe told him to wait there because he had to inform Gabriela about his presence. Jack agreed and looked at the boats and men inside the cave, he signaled Mr. Gibbs to take a look inside the cave.

Felipe ran to the house and went into the cellar, "Señorita Gabriela, Jack Sparrow is here, he saw the boats and the men in the cave, and he asked to see you. What shall I do?"

"Calm down Felipe. Let him in and be careful, don't let his men get any information from Anne and Thomas' men, on your way out tell Isabela to send Fermín, Fernando, and Joaquín to join you so you keep Jack's men distracted and take some rum." Gabriela instructed Felipe. He nodded and left.

"What have you done to that man, that he comes to see you?" Anne teased Gabriela.

Gabriela laughed, "My men surely let him know I was hosting some pirates I rescued from the wreckage and he must be worried. He is not as ruthless as he says he is!"

"You, naughty girl!" Anne said and laughed.

"He is ruthless when he wants to. Are you sure you chose wisely?" Captain Drake said.

"We don't have time for this. Remember we are here to deal with our plan to set Captain Drake's crew free. Please, don't let him know that you are my cousin, Anne, or my mission, or my intentions for him." Gabriela reminded both of them. They agreed.

Moments later Isabela entered the cellar and escorted Jack in. Jack looked around the cellar and then looked at the two "ruthless" pirates who were chatting with Gabriela.

Gabriela smiled, stood up, and courteously welcomed Jack. Then she invited him to join them, "Oh, what a nice surprise to see you are well, Captain Sparrow! I was so worried about you. How is your lovely mother these days?"

Jack sat down across the table, in front of Gabriela, in between Anne and Thomas, "Thanks for yer concern and yer supplies, that soup and that stew really made the trick. And those wool socks are really warm, have you knitted them?" Jack thanked Gabriela. "I see I am not the only pirate ye know?" Jack said sarcastically.

"Please, don't be jealous Jack! If it helps you will always be my favorite and I will only knit socks for you!" Gabriela teased him. Anne and Thomas looked at each other with complicity.

"Jealous, me? Not at all. Just a bit curious." Jack declared still with sarcasm in his voice.

"Curiosity killed the cat, Captain Sparrow. Be careful!" Thomas sneered.

"Fortunately, I am not a cat, Captain Drake." Jack voiced his displeasure and smirked. The air in the room was tense. "Please tell me what brings ye two to this fine lady's house?" Jack demanded.

"What do you mean, Captain Sparrow?" Anne teased Jack. "Please don't tell me you are concerned about this Spanish lady?"

"Well, two ruthless pirates like ye. I don't want to see any of ye taking advantage of a fine lady like Gabriela..." Jack said with a concerned tone in his voice.

"Oh, so you are indeed worried about my well-being Jack. I knew you were a decent man!" Gabriela assented. Jack rolled his eyes in annoyance. Gabriela saw this, "Why is it so hard for you to admit you're a good man, Jack?" Gabriela inquired.

"Because I am a pirate, I am not a good man!" Jack emphasized.

"If you say so..." Gabriela ended the discussion. Not taking the matter seriously Gabriela quickly signaled Jack to have a seat, "Welcome to our meeting, Captain Sparrow. We are here to discuss how to get Captain Drake's men out of prison and prevent them from being executed. As you must have heard, his ship was ambushed by the English last week..." Gabriela glowered.

"And what does that have to do with a lady like ye?" Jack asked curiously.

"Well as you know, I rescued some men including Captain Drake. I saw what happened to them. I hate injustices. Don't you?" Gabriela explained to Jack. She tried to look naive and pouted her lips.

Jack didn't believe a word Gabriela said, he went on "And why is Captain Bonny here? If ye hate injustices, ye must know this woman abandoned her husband who is now a drunk because this wrench broke his heart! She replaced him with another man."

Anne looked at Jack and said, "I left James because he is an informant to Governor Rogers, he tells him the whereabouts of pirates so the Governor's men can arrest them and execute them. If he is in taverns all day and drinks, it is not because of me. It's part of his job to mingle with pirates and gather information to report to the Governor. That's why I left him! I can't stand his 'new job'! And that man you mention, Calico Jack, offered James money to let me free but James refused, that's why we escaped."

Jack looked flabbergasted.

"Is that true? I met him in a tavern in Pirates Republic, I felt sorry for him. I invited him to my table. He knew I was going to Tortuga and then I would come here... You mean he set me up?" Thomas couldn't believe James betrayed him. He was infuriated.

"Please, let's concentrate on saving your men Captain Drake, then you'll see how you deal with this James Bonny." Gabriela proposed. "Can we count on you and your men, Jack?" Gabriela looked at Jack and asked him.

Jack looked at everyone, but he focused his attention on Gabriela. Then he got up from his seat, walked towards Gabriela, leaned towards her, looked at her in the eyes, and smirked, Jack had doubts about Gabriela's real intentions but wanted in on the action, "I'm in! I knew ye were trouble since the day I met ye, but I'm intrigued to know how far yer willing to go."

They all agreed. They decided on the best plan and left. Due to his suspicions about Gabriela's real intention and her connection to Anne and Thomas, Jack was the last to leave. Before he left Gabriela called him, Jack stopped in his tracks and looked back at her. With his dark eyes staring straight at her, Gabriela felt her knees go weak. With a big smile on her face, she handed him another jar of cookies and kissed him on his cheek. He felt bewildered. He frowned his eyebrows and thanked Gabriela. She reminded him to send the jars back so she could refill them for him. He gave her a lingering look and walked out. He had a warm feeling inside, he loved being pampered by Gabriela. He loved her cookies. Needless to say, Mr. Gibbs mocked Jack all the way back to the Black Pearl because of the jar and the lipstick mark on his cheek. But Jack was able to punish Mr. Gibbs when he asked him for a cookie and Jack refused, he held the jar tight, and told him that they were baked especially for him. Mr. Gibbs grumbled. Jack grinned.
