After three days, it turned out that trains were resuming on the outskirts of Hiroshima. I was very happy. We went to Tokyo by train. Mom hugged me and whispered to me: "Everything's fine, don't worry." I calmed down a bit. After a while, I asked mom: Where is daddy? Mom replied: at work, but don't worry, everything will definitely be fine with him. I looked at the sights of bombed Japan. It was very sad. My mother patted my head and hugged me very tightly. There were a lot of injured people on the train In front of us was a girl who was terribly burned, behind us there was a grandfather who was missing a leg, and another girl at the very back had big wounds and was being held by her mother who was missing a hand. I walked around the train and saw the injured, both women and men, young and old, with various effects of the bomb : amputation, wounds, burns, diseases. I missed my home in Hiroshima. If there had been no bomb, I would have been sitting in the room with my parents. I saw those people on the train and I think I was very lucky because I had minor injuries. We arrived in Tokyo.
Mom looked at me with a smile on her face. We left the station. Just then a lady arrived in a horse-drawn carriage. We asked her if she would give us a ride home. She agreed. We got into the cab. The lady pulled lightly and after a second the horses started galloping like crazy. The views of the city surprised me very much. I looked at them as if enchanted. I sat still for a moment. Until my mother shouted:
-HANA? ARE YOU OK?!
-No, I was just looking at the views...
-You scared me, Hana.
-Sorry...
A few moments later we arrived at my aunt's house, who loved me very, very much. She is my mother's sister. Her name is Misaki. She has been a widow for two years because her husband, my uncle Hiroshi, died during World War II. She always sent me letters with various sweets or toys. When they were little, Misaki's mother and aunt were bonded so tightly that they couldn't be separated. The two of them always played together. But after high school, they took a different path, found their other halves, had children and got a job. But my mother and aunt still love each other very much. We went to the door and knocked. Aunt Misaki opened the door for us and said:
-Hanako? (that's my mother's name), Hana? What are you doing here? - she replied in an angry voice.
-An atomic bomb exploded here. I don't know if Hiroko (my dad) survived. He had to stay at work. The Americans dropped the bomb. - My mother said firmly
- It's so good that you survived it. And why did the Americans do it?
-I guess it's revenge for Pearl Harbor
-Come in, I'll prepare tea for Hana and coffee with milk for you
-Oh, Misaki, how well you know me
-Because I'm your sister
My aunt gave me my favorite tea and gave my mother coffee with milk. Then someone knocked.
-Oh, that's my Mika! (My cousin, Aunt Misaki's daughter) Aunt Misaki said
She opened the door and saw her daughter's sad face
"What happened, honey?" she said with a sad face
-Auntie, I have bad news for you. See this newspaper
My mother took the newspaper and saw this:

Mom looked sad. She said:
-Hana, unfortunately your daddy is dead.
I was still for a moment. Like I was a rock. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I lost someone I loved too much to say goodbye to. I didn't have time to say goodbye to him. It's too late. Mom hugged me and said:
-I know you love dad. I love him too. But dad will always be there you, only in heaven.
-But how is this possible?!- I screamed with tears in my eyes
-He sees from heaven what you are doing. It looks at what you feel, where you are and when. Just feel and you will hear your dad trying to send a message to you. Focus and you will hear his message.
-Okay, mom.
I sat down on the couch and concentrated very hard, with all my strength. Until then I saw a bright light.
I thought: what's going on?
Then a voice spoke to me: Hana...
I was surprised and replied: who is it?
The same voice replied: It's me, honey. Your loving father, Hiroko.
With tears in my eyes I replied: Dad?
-Yes, it's me. As you know from the newspaper, I died. But really, I'm always with you
-So mom was telling the truth?
-Yes. I'm watching you from above. I'm good. It's great in heaven.
-I miss your smile, the moments we spent together.
-And then I saw my dad but with wings, but everything was the same: smile, figure, nose, ears...
- I miss these moments too. But you're growing up. I remember when you were six years old and you played hide and seek with me. Now you are thirteen and already a teenager, said dad
-Dad... you don't know how sad I am without you... You will always be in my heart. Even as I grow older. I miss these games.
-Me too. I would like to be with you. I love you and remember that I am always watching you.
Then my dad disappeared. I looked around and got up from the couch. Mom came to me with a smile on her face and said:
-So, did you hear the news?
- Yes - I replied.
-See, I told you, focus hard and you will hear him.
-Yes mum. You were right.
Then my aunt called for dinner. There were chopsticks, plates and a bowl of sushi on the table. I replied:
-I'm not hungry...
-But you have to eat, because you will lose weight.- said my mother.
-All right...
I took chopsticks and grabbed the sushi with them. I put the sushi in my mouth. It was delicious, but I had no appetite. After dinner I went to my room.
