Prologue
The Wolves: "I threw myself to the wolves, only to learn of the tenderness in their howl, and the loyalty in their blood."

~Billy's POV~"Stop!!! Stop!!! It hurts!!!" I screamed.
The darkness of the skies loomed over as I was screaming in pain.
"This will all be over Billy." A voice said.
"Stop!!!" I screamed once more.
Lighting struck in the skies and just before the pain continued, I sat up.
I was breathing hard and I was sweating profusely. I looked around and saw that I was in my bedroom here in California.
"Fuck...just another nightmare." I murmured to myself.
I slowly got out of my bed and stretched out my muscles. I went to my drawer and changed out of the sweaty shirt and just decided to go back to bed shirtless.
But, before I made it back to my bed, I noticed that the sun was rising.
These nightmares have plagued my life ever since I moved back to California two years ago. I don't have them as often. But, when I do, I lose a night of sleep.
At least, when I came back here, I was away from the monster that had hurt me and turned me into this creature.
However, since Max has informed me of Nathan's return a few months ago, I have been doing everything I can to keep a low profile. I have also been keeping an eye out on Max, Lucas, and my best friend Celeste.
The last thing that I want is for them to be in danger.
Now, it is the start of summer here in California and Max has informed me that she has seen Nathan around town.
I do plan on coming out of hiding and not give him the satisfaction of winning.
There is a life out there for me and I want to show this monster that I am not weak anymore.
These thoughts race through my mind as I head to the beach to watch the sunrise.
