~Rowena's POV~
~A Week Later~
~Saturday June 24th, 2023~~Steve Harrington's House~
It has been over a week since the demise of Nathan and since Steve and Billy were released from their insufferable curse.
Now, we were finally back home in Indiana and Steve and I were both taking advantage of our first day alone.
We were both laying on the couch together and I opened my eyes and saw that the sun was already setting outside the window of Steve's living room.
Steve was laying on top of me and his head was on my chest. I massaged his head and scratched his bare back up and down softly.
"Mmmm." Steve moaned.
I looked down and Steve lifted his head up and smiled sleepily up at me.
"Hi." Steve whispered.
"Hi." I whispered.
I looked at him and spoke.
"Do you realize that we have slept the whole afternoon?" I rasped.
Steve looked over at the window and then back at me and we both smiled and laughed.
"So, we did." Steve laughed.
"Well, I mean, we did just get home late last night. So, we definitely needed the rest." I smiled.
Steve smiled at me and lifted his body up and caged my shoulders with his forearms.
I brought one hand up and traced my fingertips up and down on his bicep. I brought the other hand that possessed the wrist that my faded scars were on and cupped his face.
Ever since that first night I had with Steve, the scars on my wrist have faded since then.
"How are you doing?" I asked gently.
"Better. I definitely feel a change and even though it has been a week, I am not having any of the effects that I usually endure when a full moon is coming." Steve replied.
"That is true. Another full moon is in about a week and you definitely would be having effects by now." I said.
"Yeah, I know. I just...I am still adjusting to being a human once again." Steve chuckled.
"Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something." I said gently.
Steve furrowed his eyebrows and looked at me. He brought one of his hands and cupped my face and stroked the end of my hair with his other hand.
"What is it?" Steve asked gently.
"Well, now that everything regarding Maeve, Eddie, Billy, and you is now over, I was thinking of staring over." I suggested.
