~Monday June 5th, 2023~
~California, USA~Eddie and I drove down the sandy road to the house that we were staying in while here in California.
Steve and Rowena were in their car behind us. Nancy, Robin, and Dustin were in the car after them.
Originally, we were all planning on just driving from Indiana to California. However, with the most recent news about Oliver, we all just decided to fly so that we could be here quicker. Once the plane hit our destination, we all got our things and rental cars. Then we went on the route to where we would be staying.
Dustin had informed us that Max had decided to move back here regarding things. So, it will be nice to see her and catch up.
Once Eddie and I saw Nathan sitting on the steps of the beach house, Eddie pulled into the drive way. Steve and Nancy both parked their cars on the street.
Eddie and I made it out of our rented vehicle and walked up to Nathan.
"You guys got here quick." Nathan commented.
"Yeah, we took the red eye." Eddie said.
"Alright, well let's all go inside." Nathan suggested.
Nathan walked up to the door and opened it for us to walk in. Eddie and I went into the home first. We were followed by Steve, Rowena, Dustin, Robin, and Nancy.
Once we were all in the house, Nathan showed us the living room of the house.
The house was definitely a simple beach house. It was filled with colors of sage green, light blues, and cream colors. The furniture was soft and light. It felt calming in the house.
Everyone sat in the chairs and on the couch in the living room and waited for Nathan to speak.
"Alright, so where in the hell is Oliver?" Eddie asked.
"See...that is the thing. I have no idea where he is." Nathan replied.
"You don't know. You mean to tell us that you dragged us all the way up here without having the faintest idea of where he is!" Eddie said furiously.
I placed my hand on Eddie's shoulder to calm him. He just looked at me and breathed slowly.
"Look, I wouldn't have called if I did know." Nathan said.
I turned to look at Nathan and got up from the sofa. I walked up to him and spoke.
"So, when was the last time you spoke to him or saw him?" I asked.
"I saw him a few days ago. We met up at the docks not too dar from here and he told me that he was getting close to something. He talked about you, Eddie. He had told me that he was going to call you and Eddie the next day to let you know that it was safe to come here. Well, the next day came and I didn't hear anything from him. I kept trying to get in touch with him. When I went to where he was staying, we wasn't there. I have searched for him and I can't even sense him anywhere." Nathan explained.
