Things have been calm and quiet since we have been home. However, my mind was racing with so many thoughts. There was one thought that kept occupying my mind.

After Aurora and I had dinner, Aurora had gone upstairs to get ready for bed. Once I finished washing the dishes, I instantly started to feel different.

It has been a week since I fed off of Aurora and I have felt different. My alabaster skin has felt warmer and my heartbeat has slowly awakened again.

Once everything had been resolved with Nathan, Steve, Billy, and I, everyone had decided to stay in California a few extra days.

Everyone wanted to be sure that affairs were in order. Mostly, we actually wanted a few days to be with family and not have to worry about dying.

During one of those days, I had explained to Aurora about the cure and what Oliver had told me that night. Knowing how intelligent Aurora is, it didn't take her long to figure things out.

My main concern was how Aurora would react. However, she just held me later that night and told me that she would love me regardless. She had also told me that she couldn't wait to hear my heartbeat for the first time.

When she said those words to me, my entire soul felt relief.

After making sure that the doors were locked, I went upstairs and made my way down to my bedroom.

The sight before me made me froze in place.

Aurora was sitting on the bed with the pillows propped behind her. She had her legs curled and the soft skin of her thighs were exposed.

She was wearing a black tank nightgown that had black lace on the end of it.

Her curves were filling out every single inch of the nightgown and her lips were parted as she stayed concentrated on what words she was reading in her book.

She was the most beautiful sight I have ever laid my eyes on.

Aurora looked up at me and smiled softly. She closed the book and set it on the night stand next to her and looked back at me.

"Hi baby." She smiled.

"Hi Angel." I smiled.

Aurora got up from her spot on the bed and kneeled on the bed in front of me. She then put her arms around my neck and smiled.
