Now let the story begin.

After she and her teammate Wales won against Chao Xin and Mei-Mei from the Chinese team Wang Hu Zhong, Sophie of Team Excalibur happens to look up in the stands and sees her boyfriend [Y/N] cheering for her, causing the blue haired girl to smile.

[Y/N]....you are always there to support me in my bey battles, even if it isn't possible for you to partake in one yourself now.

She thinks to herself before a small sad frown appears on her face as she remembers what happened to him.

Due to an unfortunate accident some time ago, [Y/N] was left completely paralyzed in his left arm, rendering him unable to have beyblade battles despite his immense love for them.

He didn't deserve to have that happen to him! Why must life be so incredibly cruel to people who've done nothing to warrant such an unfair fate?!

The white Grand Cetus blader scowls before her face softens once locking eyes with her boyfriend.

Still though, despite what happened, [Y/N] rarely ever lets it put a damper on his enthusiasm for beyblade. I still remember what he told me before the World Championships started.

Flashback

[Y/N] : Congratulations on being a member of the EU team babe! I always knew you were one of the best bladers in all of Europe!

He exclaims as she chuckles a little.

Sophie : Thank you darling, I appreciate your kind words.

A brief silence follows as Sophie gives her boyfriend a worried look.

Sophie : [Y/N]? Is something wrong?

[Y/N] : It's just that....I always imagined you and I would make it to the top of the beyblade world together like we dreamed of when we were kids, but I guess that just isn't possible now because of....you know.

He looks down at his paralyzed arm as Sophie can't help but feel her heart ache.

Oh [Y/N]....

She wraps her arms around him in a warm embrace.

[Y/N] : But that's ok though, because while I may never battle again, I can still cheer you on.

He says as she breaks from the hug and looks at him with a bit of wetness under her eyes.

Sophie : [Y/N], I-

[Y/N] : Babe, I want you to promise me something.

Sophie : W-what is it?

[Y/N] : When you partake in the Beyblade World Championships, you'll give it everything you've got and become number one on the world. I may not be able to battle anymore, but I can be there with you through my blader's spirit. Can you make me this promise Sophie? Please?

With a few tears running down her cheek, the French blader gives her boyfriend a soft smile and nods.

Sophie : Y-yes darling, I promise that I'll become one of the greatest bladers in the world for you. I love you so much [Y/N].

[Y/N] : I love you too Sophie, and thank you.

He returns her smile as they share a kiss before Sophie has to depart to meet with her team.

Flashback End

And I intend to keep that promise. As a member of Team Excalibur, I will not only help Julian ascend to the throne in the world of beyblade, but I will also fulfill my beloved's dream of becoming one of the best bladers in the world.

She thinks to herself before leaving the arena with Wales as it is now Klaus' turn to battle, but not before giving [Y/N] a wave and a small smile, causing his face to light up as he waves back with a wide grin.

Adorable. That's one of many aspects about my darling that I love immensely. I simply cannot wait to see him after this match ends.

Sophie muses before she and Wales join their leader Julian in watching Klaus' battle.

Timeskip

Klaus effortlessly won against Chi Yun of Wang Hu Zhong, meaning that Excalibur has defeated the Chinese team and will be moving on to the A-block finals of the World Championship.

Klaus : Two easy wins in a row.

Sophie : Yes. So Julian, who will we be facing in the finals?

Julian : Our next opponent will be Japan's team. Gan Gan Galaxy.

Wales : You mean the guys we humiliated during the Festival of Warriors? Beating them will be a piece of cake!

They all share the same sentiment and are feeling extremely confident before Sophie hears a familiar voice calling to her.

??? : Sophie!

The French representative turns around and sees that [Y/N] is running up to her, causing the other members of her team to smile.

[Y/N] : You guys were awesome out there! China's team stood no chance!

Sophie : Glad you enjoyed it darling.

They share a brief kiss before [Y/N] turns to his girlfriend's teammates.

[Y/N] : So you're facing Japan's representatives next? I've watched them on tv, and they are really strong.

Julian : Maybe so, but they aren't anything Excalibur can't handle.

Wales : Julian, Sophie, and I have beaten those wannabes before [Y/N], and this time won't be any different.

Klaus : So you can expect us to win once again my friend.

He says with a kind smile as [Y/N] nods.

[Y/N] : I'd expect nothing more from you guys, and you can bet that I'll be right there in the audience watching as you win the A-block finals.

Sophie : Thank you [Y/N].

Just like every battle previously, we will be victorious against team Japan. After all darling, you are my reason for winning.

A look of determination appears on her face as she vows not to lose and come closer to fulfilling the promise she made to [Y/N].
