It was a somewhat dark night, again there were no stars, Lucifer had found out that the guardian had resigned and took the opportunity to release too many wandering demons to Earth, all the universes, all the worlds smelled of rot, sulfur and blood. It seemed to be the end of everything, the Corrupt had won, it seemed.

Although, he did not do it to take advantage of the moment of vulnerability, it was as if strangely he empathized with the executioner of hundreds of his lackeys, another fallen angel, in addition to knowing full well that his son was in love with her, he was not interested in that in the least, but he could not help but let out a great snort of pride when he saw God totally annoyed at the actions of his "guardian".

Unfortunately, for her situation, she was immersed in a great depression, too deep and a great rage flooded her heart. In a way she felt guilty for having said so many blasphemies against God, on the other hand she was somewhat relaxed to feel free, but such freedom was terrifying, she had always dedicated herself to doing her duties of keeping people from hell, but now she had nothing else to do, she felt empty, she knew no other purpose than the one God had appointed for her at birth, all for an empty redemption.

On the other hand, the leader worked incessantly, it had been days since the argument with Death happened and Astre seemed not to react from a deep sleep, even if she didn't have any sedatives, it was as if she didn't want to wake up, or maybe she didn't leave her room for simply not facing the world, she really didn't understand the situation of the young woman in its entirety and, In this case, he wanted to do it, he wanted to understand her for the first time, to know her in a way that he could remedy everything that happened.

But he also did not dare to enter her bedroom, he only watched her through the security cameras, waiting, more because, talking about other things, he needed her to find The Spot and defeat him, but he did not want to seem opportunistic, more than what had already been, perhaps, the best, it would be to give her her space.

Ah, but, that demon...

While she was inside that room, the demon that had been him these last few days was always glued to her, watching her sleep, with a satisfied smile on his face, but she was so absent from herself that she didn't seem to notice it. While the latter reassured the leader, he was equally frustrated by not having the courage or the sufficient closeness that the devil, apparently, shared with Astre.

Miguel was too tense, he was not a great believer in any religion, but on these occasions and since the death of his daughter, he always complained to God, for not leaving things so simple, for having allowed his daughter to die, for, I don't know, not having sent him some signal to avoid that catastrophe that would give rise to everything that had happened until now, including Astre, a woman who, although he had hated from the beginning, slowly and unconsciously, he began to appreciate, to the point of realizing that he had been too idiotic for not allowing her to explain herself.

But his pain was not so simple, although what he lived through was not easy, it was not justifiable what he did to Astre, just because she was different, even when he saw her tremble when fighting him.

All those moments where she whimpered, complained, but kept fighting, despite having the confusion on her face, despite being afraid, angry, perhaps, at what he had done to her, she didn't betray him, she followed his directions, she made her mission for her redemption only to be betrayed by everyone in the end.

She even risked her life for everyone and for him, the man who had been constantly harming her.

These strange emotions did not allow Miguel to concentrate, he did not know what he was really feeling, he also did not want Astre to have a bad idea of humanity, being that the worst had already happened, he wanted to redeem himself before her, to give her that welcome that she had not had, she proved not to want to harm anyone, even if she had the necessary power to do so, in spite of everything.
