“Deeeeeeeeeeeeee” Scarlett screamed and jumped over Diana.
Diana almost tripped over. She turned to Scarlett and annoyingly asked
“What on earth are you screaming like that?” “As if the world is ending”
Scarlett ignored with a forced smile.
“Hey Dee” “are you ignoring me?” The same familiar voice, it's Krystal.
“Huh? No bro.. who told you that!”
“Then why didn't you reply to my text”
Scarlett interrupted Diana and said
“Hey Krystal, why don't you remember ME?”
“HUH? noooo scar.. how can I forget you!”
“Sorry I was in hurry yesterday, i couldn't talk to you”
*the school bell rings*
Hearing that , three of them packed their bags and walked towards their classes.
“Are you coming for dance practice,Dee?” Krystal broke the awkward silence between them.
“Yes of course. What about you”
“Oh yeah for sure.”
Last bell rang and three of them packed their bags to go for their dance practice.
“Guys do you know where we have our practice?” Dee threw the question to both of them
“I guess it's in the hall , on the top floor” Scar stated
“Omg” Krystal exclaimed
It was on the top floor so they had to climb there with those heavy backpacks. That was what worrisome to them.
After doing some stretching, Diana and Scarlett helped Krystal to learn the steps. Denver called Krystal to show the steps that she had just learned.
A little “all the best” from Scarlett whispered in the air referring to Krystal.
As the beats of music started every part of Krystal’s body danced with the beats as per the choreography. On the other side Diana was standing at the back ,her eyes gazing intently at Krystal. Her eyes concentrated on the flawless dance of Krystal. Diana realised there were a lot of dancers in the hall but the best dancer was her. She couldn't take her eyes off Krystal for a second. She hit reality as the beats stopped.
It was almost 4:00 pm when they finished their practice. They three packed up their stuff. Diana left her phone and bag carelessly on a chair near both of them and went to the restroom. Scarlett always waits for Diana and today was not otherwise. Diana’s phone buzzed with a popped up notification and it drew Scarlett’s attention.Scarlett's expression morphed into a mix of disappointment and anger. Coming back, Diana picked her bag and checked her phone while walking beside them but paying no attention to what they were talking about. A slight smile appeared on her face clearly defining a welcoming distraction after their fatigue practice.
“It's only four days to go!” Krystal exclaimed, her voice laced with excitement, as they walked back to their gear.
"I know, right? I can't believe how close we are to the performance!" Scarlett replied, her tone infused with disbelief.
Krystal expected a reply from Diana, but her friend was clearly distracted by the glowing notification on her phone.
"Hey, anything up, Dee?" Krystal asked, curiosity getting the better of her.
Diana jolted, realising she was standing in the middle of her friends.
"O-oh, nothing important," she stuttered, quickly dismissing the notification.
"Sorry, I couldn't keep up with you guys," Diana added, her eyes darting between her friends.
