Diana barely escaped playing hooky, but the bright day ahead filled her with renewed hope. She vowed to make the most of it, savouring every moment, no matter what life threw her way. As the sharp bell rang, students scurried about like ants, but Diana took her sweet time, grooving to her favourite tunes and relishing her meal. She'd decided to embrace the day solo, but her joy was short-lived.

That's when she spotted Krystal, her usual radiance dimmed by a veil of sorrow. Krystal's face was a picture of despair, her eyes red-rimmed, and her smile nowhere to be found. She sensed something was wrong with Krystal. She somehow sensed a familiar ache in Krystal's eyes, an echo of the same pain that had ravaged her own heart just days before. It was as if the shadows that had darkened her own soul were now mirrored in Krystal.

Diana's concern couldn't be contained, and she was irresistibly drawn to Krystal, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Kris, what's wrong?" The words hung in the air like a gentle plea, as Diana's eyes locked onto Krystal's, searching for a glimmer of truth.
Krystal's gaze, however, was a fortress, guarded and unyielding, yet Diana could feel the pain radiating from it like a palpable force. The intensity of Krystal's glare was a thin veil for the stormy emotions churning deep within her.

Diana gently made Krystal sit beside her and asked her again with a soft worried voice
“What's wrong, Kris?”
“Nothing much I guess”
“Don't lie Kris, it's clearly something”
“just leave it Dee” “You won't get it”
“But-”
“And moreover I think I can't trust anyone anymore” Krystal continued, stopping Diana from speaking anything further.

Diana knew this feeling. Diana knew. She couldn't leave her in the state where she knows how it feels. She couldn't see someone go down to feel unsuitable and eventually to blame themselves.

Diana's eyes locked onto Krystal's, her gaze a fierce and unwavering promise. She reached out, her hands enveloping Krystal's in a warm, comforting grasp.
"You can trust me, Kris," she whispered, her voice a gentle breeze that soothed the raw edges of Krystal's pain.
"I'm here for you, always. You're not alone in this.”
Her touch was a reminder that she was a safe haven. As Diana's hands held hers, Krystal felt a fragile sense of security, a sense that she could finally let her guard down and trust someone to catch her if she fell.
Diana gently pulled Krystal for a warm and tender hug to comfort her. Diana could feel the same compassion from the other side. She hides her face on her shoulder as if she wanted to hide herself from the reality in her arms.

Diana's heart ached as she gazed at Krystal's anguished face. She couldn't bear the thought of her friend suffering alone. With a surge of determination, Diana vowed to be the rock Krystal needed. She longed to be the safe haven where Krystal could anchor her trust, the one person she could turn to in her darkest hour. And with a gentle, reassuring smile, she reached out to Krystal and whispered, “You can trust me, Kris.”

“I don't wanna live..” these words from Krystal stabbed a fear of losing on Diana.
“What? Are you out of your mind?” Diana pulled back her shoulder and looked into her eyes.
“No way you are thinking anything reckless, Kris”
Krystal’s silence was an assuring sign that she was indeed thinking about all those.
“How would you feel if I died?” Diana couldn't think of anything else except making her feel the fear of loss.
“I would rather die without you,” Krystal replied spontaneously.

For a moment Diana was in shock. No one ever told her that they would die without her. Am I this important to her?

“Then why are you saying such things to yourself? You think people who love you could live without you?” Diana replied to Krystal.

Back home, Diana couldn't stop thinking about Krystal. It wasn't just someone. It was Krystal. She wanted to bring back her smile again and listen to her problems and make her feel loved. Without any second thought she picked her phone and texted Krystal.
