It's finally D-Day! The entire school was buzzing with excitement, transformed into a winter wonderland that rivalled the magic of Christmas morning. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the thrill of anticipation and the joy of celebration. Every face glowed with happiness, every smile sparkling like a twinkling light on a festive tree. The air was alive with the hum of laughter and chatter, the scent of sugar and spice wafting through the halls like a sweet mist. It was a day unlike any other, a day that would be etched in memories forever. The stage was set, the lights were dimmed, and the crowd was ready... It was time to shine!

On the backstage everyone was hustling to get ready. Krystal and Scarlett were busy on themselves , helping each other to look perfect in their dresses. On the other side, a sense of anxiety and nervousness wrecked through her nerves. What if she messes up everything? What if she ends up ruining the whole performance? She tried to put a straight face while hiding her emotions. She neither wanted to worry her friends nor she was ever willing to show her feelings to anyone.

“Dee? You okay?” Krystal’s voice broke the spell in Diana's mind. Diana’s trick to hide her feelings behind a very serious straight face didn't work for Krystal.

“Guysss we are next!” a voice screamed.. And that triggered Diana one last time. Krystal patted her shoulder and went out of the room with others.

“Ahhhhh, FINALLY it's over!!!” Diana threw herself on the bed lying like a corpse. No more practice, no more escaping from loneliness in class.

The emptiness that she felt after Selina left the school was still a raw wound in her heart. Though she had Scarlett and the others, they were just dance mates, not true friends. They had been classmates since junior school, but Diana had never really connected with them. It wasn't until Selina burst into her life that she understood the true meaning of friendship - the laughter, the tears, the secrets shared, and the memories created.
