The next morning, sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the living room where Mia and Charlotte had fallen asleep on the couch, exhausted from the previous night. Autumn stirred in her bed, feeling a familiar queasiness. She had been feeling nauseous for days now, but this morning, there was a different kind of hope and fear intertwined. Quietly, she slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Mia and Charlotte. She tiptoed to the bathroom, her heart pounding with anticipation and anxiety. She had a pregnancy test hidden away in the medicine cabinet, and today felt like the right time to find out for sure.Autumn's hands trembled slightly as she opened the test kit and followed the instructions. She waited, the seconds ticking by agonizingly slow. Finally, she glanced at the test, her breath catching in her throat.

Positive.

A wave of emotions washed over her—relief, joy, fear. Tears welled up in her eyes as she stared at the result. She was pregnant. This was her rainbow baby, a symbol of hope and renewal after the heartbreak of her miscarriage. Autumn sank to the floor, clutching the test to her chest. She wanted to share the news with Charlotte and Mia, but she also felt a deep, protective instinct to keep this moment to herself for now. She needed to process it alone, to savor this precious secret. After a few minutes, she composed herself, wiped her tears, and quietly exited the bathroom. She made her way to the kitchen, where she began to prepare breakfast, her mind racing with thoughts and emotions. As the smell of coffee and pancakes filled the air, Mia and Charlotte slowly woke up, stretching and yawning as they made their way to the kitchen.

"Morning," Autumn greeted them with a soft smile. "I thought I'd make us some breakfast."

Mia smiled back, still looking a bit tired. "Morning, Autumn. How are you feeling today?"

"Better," Autumn replied, her voice steady. "Thanks for staying with me last night. It really helped."

Charlotte walked over and gave Autumn a quick hug. "Of course, Autumn. We're here for you, always."

As they sat down to eat, Autumn felt a sense of peace wash over her. She cherished this moment, knowing she had a beautiful secret growing inside her. She wasn't ready to share it yet, but she felt comforted knowing that when the time came, she had a strong support system in Mia and Charlotte. For now, she held the news close to her heart, savoring the hope and joy it brought. She knew that soon enough, she would share her news with those she loved, but for now, she relished the promise of new beginnings. The following day, after Charlotte and Mia had left to return home, Autumn found herself alone again, but not for long. Winter was due back from his trip up north, and she could hardly wait to see him. She had been feeling overwhelmed with emotions ever since she found out she was pregnant, and the anticipation of Winter's return only heightened her feelings. Despite the excitement of his return, Autumn decided to keep her pregnancy news to herself for now. She needed more time to process it fully and figure out the right moment to share it. Later that afternoon, the front door opened, and Winter walked in, looking travel-worn but happy to be home. Autumn rushed to greet him, her heart pounding with a mix of relief and joy. She threw her arms around him, holding him tightly.
