Sana
"So, dear seniors!" the principal says through the microphone in front of him so he can be heard all around the open soccer field. All classes for seniors have been canceled for now since the principal wished to make an important announcement.
"What the hell is this about?" a girl next to me asks.
"I have no idea." I mumble. The girl however probably heard and continues.
"I just hope it's not some field trip to another dead poet's house." she huffs and I laugh with her for a while. She extends her arm towards mine. "I'm Jihyo."
I shake her hand with a smile. "Sana."
"Are you new? I don't think I've seen you before."
"Yeah, I just came this year with my friend." I shrug. Jihyo simply nods and we both turn our eyes to the principal again.
"So, like many of you probably already know, this year, being your last, is special." he starts. Some students who were whispering earlier are now exclaiming enthusiastically. "And since it's our tradition, this year, the student council has once again organized the Senior Trials!"
Now, many students start talking eagerly. I, however, turn to Momo. "What the fuck are the Senior Trials?"
"Argh, I can't believe I forgot to tell you about the Trials! They're awesome, you should take part." she says, enthusiasm evident in her voice.
"I don't even know what they are." I mutter under my breath.
"Wait, he'll explain."
As if on cue, the principal talks again. "For those of you who don't know, the Senior Trials consist of three Challenges that aim to test your fighting and survival skills. And the winner of the Trials earns... 2 Billion Won!" he shouts, throwing his hands in the air and resulting in the students cheering and clapping.
"Okay, okay, I know you're excited but due to some unfortunate events from last year, this year, 10 students will be competing, all chosen by you!"
At this, some students groan while others continue whispering.
"Sana, you definitely should go! I'll vote for you." Momo throws an arm over my shoulders as all the students start leaving the field.
"I don't think it's up to me whether I'll go or not." I chuckle. Mina comes next to me and nods.
"But if you do, I believe you could win this thing."
"Really?"
"Yeah!" both Mina and Momo exclaim. I smile at their support. Truth is, maybe I could win this. And with 2 Billion Won, I wouldn't need to rely on Momo's family's money for my life after the school year ends. Everything could be easier.
I just need to find a way to make people vote for me.

"Everyone this way, Tzuyu is challenging people to fight her in the ring!" a student yells as he runs up and down the hallway, pointing at the room with the boxing ring. Students are heard cheering or groaning from the other side of the door while those who exit have at least two cuts over their faces.
This is my chance.
This is the way I get people to vote for me. Tzuyu is obviously starting this because she wants the students' votes as well. So, in order to get the votes, I will go in and fight Tzuyu. My father taught me karate when I was younger. How hard can this be?
I walk in the ring, pushing politely through the big crowd and make my way to the stairs that lead to the ring. A tall guy is standing at the entrance to the ring, his back turned on me. I reluctantly tap his broad shoulders, making him spin around to face me.
