Nidhi sighed and said, "Yeah."
She added, "Forget her, let's focus on eating."

After finishing their lunch, they went back to their class and sat together, as Aaron and Ishan were still at practice. After the 4th period was over, they studied together during the last period, using the canceled free period to prepare for the test. In between studying, they chatted and gossiped, making the session more enjoyable.

Nidhi was spilling all the tea, and Avni was listening to all her stories. She was happy to have a friend who was talkative and lovely, of course.

After the bell rang, signaling the end of class, Avni and Nidhi headed to the library with their bags, chatting. They arrived and took their seats. Soon, they were joined by Aaron and Ishan, who looked a bit tired but still energetic.

Aaron said, "Forgot about us?"

Avni replied, "We thought you might skip because of your practice."

Ishan, sitting in front of Avni, said, "We promised to study after school, after all."

Nidhi added, "Good!"

Aaron and Nidhi reviewed the topics, while Ishan taught Avni a few remaining chapters. Since tomorrow was Sunday and they wouldn't meet, they studied for around two hours before heading home.

As always, Avni was alone at home. She cut some fruits, had them, and then revised a few chapters while having dinner in her room. Meanwhile, Ishan caressed his cat and fed him. After taking a shower, he studied for a while before having dinner with his parents.

The next day was Sunday, so there was no school. Avni woke up at her usual time, went for a walk, and then had a shower and breakfast. Her father went to the office for some work, and her mother, after completing household chores, began working on her laptop.

Avni decided to skip studying for now and spent some time sketching instead. She made a few drawings: a flower, a boy resembling Ishan playing basketball, still life sketches, a guitar, a frog, and a skeleton. By lunchtime, she had created several pieces.

She loves to sketch, but because of her studies, she often doesn’t have the time. However, sometimes she sketches when she isn’t feeling good or is stressed.

She and her mother had lunch together. Her mother asked about her studies and upcoming exams, to which Avni responded, and then there was a brief silence.

After lunch, Avni returned to her room, this time to study. She had done almost everything, all thanks to Nidhi and Ishan. She spent the next four hours solving numericals from a book.

After she was done, she went downstairs to have her coffee. Not finding her mother, she checked her phone and saw two missed calls and one message from her mom saying she went grocery shopping. She quickly called back and talked to her.

Feeling bored of studying, she decided to go outside for a walk.

She walked toward a park she had never seen before since she rarely went outside after they had moved. Not wanting to get distracted, she just observed the people in the park from outside, standing on the road. She saw an old couple walking together, children playing on the swings, some women gossiping, a dog being walked by its owner, and a man running.

She was interrupted by a sound. She turned back and saw Ishan standing there with his skateboard.

Ishan said, "Hi?"

Avni replied, "Hi."

Ishan asked, "What are you doing here?"

Avni replied, "Just came for a walk, I live nearby."

Ishan replied, "What? I never saw you here before."

Avni said, "We shifted here three days ago."

Ishan replied, "Oh, I see. I thought you just changed schools or something. We haven't really talked, you know."

Avni whispered, "We shouldn't either."

Ishan asked, "Did you say something?"

Avni shook her head and said, "No. What about you? What are you doing here?"

Ishan replied, showing his skateboard, "I skateboard on Sundays. I live just one kilometer away."

Avni replied, "I have bad luck, I guess. Never mind, I will get back to my studies. Bye." And she left.

Ishan, all blushed and happy that Avni lived near his place, said to himself, "But I have absolutely the best luck."
